"I'm sorry." He simply said and randomly traced the cup he is holding to distract himself from the uneasiness he is experiencing, making his siblings remain bemused due to his words. Allison stood up and crossed her arms. "What are you talking about?"
"The apocalypse." He added to his words and made Diego look away in disappointment, now knowing what he means by it. The second brother aggressively placed his knives back in his pockets and gritted his teeth in irritation. "What the actual fuck?" He whispered to himself and quickly got away from his seat. Five then noticed Diego's enraged actions and investigated the other dimension, recognizing what would happen after this discussion. He just only revealed the word "apocalypse" to them, yet he can comprehend dissatisfaction from his second brother, and Allison followed.
Five then placed the empty cup of coffee on the table beside him and intertwined his fingers together as he gazed down again. Vanya persisted in confusion as she looks at her siblings' expressions.
"Guys? What is going on? Apocalypse, what?" She looked at Klaus, but he frowned in sadness. He then went closer to her and muttered, "I don't know but I can sense there is something wrong."
"Isn't it obvious, Klaus?" Ben said sitting on the other table with his legs crossed and lifted an eyebrow and pulled a hand. The third Hargreeves turned his head to the charming ghost as he stuck his tongue out in response. Vanya saw what he just did, and the confusion roamed around her mind and her emotions began to intensify.
Luther stuttered before he could say anything, "Just go straight to the point, Five,"
"Don't be mad at me, but the apocalypse followed us here in this timeline, in this city, and this year." He said softly as he was expecting a scream from Diego like, "This is all your fault!" but he was just there, on the barrier gawking at the view of the ground, thinking terrible things. The second Hargreeves believed he realized he did the most terrible decision in his life to agree with Five's strategy for their safety against the apocalypse that existed in 2019.
"I think I could have just let myself die in 2019 if there is another apocalypse again, everything we did, like getting away, it's purely the shittiest and most useless thing I've ever done," Diego stated as he drew his sight again to his troubled siblings. "Are you blaming me for how the outcome resulted because of my time travel?" Five then stood up and threw a serious face at him as he slid his hands through his pockets.
"There is only you that we could blame." Diego instantly responded. The schoolboy took a few steps going in the middle of them, with the sound of his shoes can be heard.
He neatly arranged his uniform and explained his side. "I did everything I can for us to get away from doomsday, and yet you are still accusing me. What an awful mindset you have, Diego." The knife-boy just glared at him and just knew he could explain everything because he's the genius one among them.
"For your information, time travel is certainly complicated, not all the time I could handle things perfectly just because I am intelligent. We all do have weaknesses." The fifth Hargreeves explained as the confusion and concern in their emotions began to vanish, and Diego never backfired again.
"I care for all of you even if I'm too serious sometimes and I will do everything to stop doomsday from happening. I don't want any arguments now. I still needed to think effectively."
"But Five, we can help you." Allison offered but the boy just shook his head in disagreement. "I would let you, soon. Now isn't the right time. Let me figure out things first. And I will let you all know if I already have." There is a silence built once again as they internally agreed to Five and began to think of possibilities that could happen if they failed to avoid doomsday.
