Martin Brenner was staring at the office wall for about an hour now. Repeatedly tapping his pen on the desk as the documents were scattered, profoundly contemplating things. Tonight will be the tracking down agenda of the Hargreeves along with Eleven, however, something is making him hang back to participate in this plan. He solely desires to earn the girl back without any of the crises that The Handler prepared. Just now, he recognized he bought gigantic hardship behind him. The doctors and nurses were even worried because he has been hiding inside the room without allowing them to capture his presence, even on the laboratory's security cameras.

He pulled a few pictures inside an envelope. Those were Eleven's when she was younger. Even though he used these children to experiment on them, the man felt sincerity toward Jane. He observed the girl has countless potential. However, the girl considers him a monster. He is a terrible man with no mercy.

The doctor gazed at his watch and panicked a little when it was nearly 6 in the evening. At that exact time, the plan will commence instantly. He breathed heavily in anxiousness, clueless about what he should do now. He also thought it was too late to go back because there is vastly more problems to appear than this if he declined the plan in no time. The Handler along with her employers will pursue him for the rest of his life.

"Oh no..." He sensed the horror through the barriers and the emotion is strangling him inside the closed area. The pressure is on the old man's shoulders.

A faded screaming voice as the sound of replayed knocking on the door wasn't able to be heard by him. He was surrounded by a sentiment that seals the man inside this office. Too confused about what to accomplish first, and the desk was disorganized by the anxiety on the lad's hands.

"Brenner..."

The call of his surname varied with his chaotic views.

"Brenner..."

Another one.

"Doctor Brenner! Are you there?" The scream of one of the nurses outside the door drove him back to reality as he grabbed a huge gasp and breathed severely.

He took his time to be able to draw whiff properly and finally opened the door after. As he unlocked it, he was welcomed by a concerned reaction from the nurse and Brenner almost lost balance on the ground as the lady attempted to take hold of him. The man, on the other hand, managed to stand up decently as he can. "I'm all right. Thank you."

"By the way, what brings you here?" Asked Brenner. Even though he knows what the lady came for, he decided to yet raise a question, hoping for a good announcement.

The woman swallowed nervously. "I am here to check on you, sir. It's been hours since you've been hiding here. The other nurses and doctors couldn't reach you also, and The Handler is at the grounds of the laboratory already." Before he could respond, he tried to process some words to reply. He wanted to cancel the agenda desperately, and the thought of him being involved in this case was a wrong idea from his perspective.

"I'll follow." The doctor nodded and gestured to the nurse to go.

Martin thought frankly this time before he will proceed. The time is ticking as the blare of the timepiece on the wall beating sealed his hearing. The old man sighed for the very last moment.

"This is for you, Eleven. Papa will get you back." He whispered to himself before moving down to the floors of the Hawkins National Laboratory.
