Chapter 46: The Farewell

Eleven gazed at the window and wondered at the view as the automobiles passed by. Even though she is in safe hands now, there is still a sign of jeopardy that she hears. The girl suspected at any minute, someone might be spying on her. The others witnessed her alone while her arms are crossed. As the girl's lover gazes from afar, a lot of thoughts occupied his mind, and at the same time, honestly worried. She didn't deserve any of the catastrophes she has been through and was too young to be exposed to countless tragedies.

However, Mike believed she is not just a hero herself, but also the girl he loved with all of his heart since the day they crossed ways last 1983. The young Wheeler concluded it was one of the best days he experienced with her. Jane turned her head back at Mike at a wide distance and tossed the sweetest smile the boy received and never thought he needed currently.

The Hargreeves have explained everything to them about their family, how they managed to appear in this timeline the Temps Commission, and especially the person who placed them in this life, Reginald Hargreeves. However, the siblings struggled due to the happenings being difficult to comprehend for them. It took about 5 hours to discuss everything last Saturday. They can't blame these people. Even the situation they have been through is indeed a chaotic encounter. It's a rare classification of crisis for people like them when they heard about it and Eleven who has superpowers similar to the siblings could not elaborate either.

But the important is, everything was clarified properly to Eleven with her friends and family by the Hargreeves siblings. There are no confusion and questions left and they don't want to leave these people without letting them know their background. So it's a good idea they told every piece of experience they needed to know about.

"Everyone, let's gather here." Five said as everyone followed.

Some gradually proceeded to follow because they don't want to believe this is the last day with the Hargreeves siblings. All of them formed a circle to cherish the last time with each other.

"I know this journey has been so tough for us. Especially for Eleven. We have calculated a lot of cataclysms only to step into the safe zone. We placed all of our hard work on these desks during the wonderful and chaotic voyage." The fifth Hargreeves as Klaus let out a sniff because he is starting to tear up which made Diego roll his eyes.

Robin clung her arm around Steve as their heads touched. The two best friends are pushing their best not to sob too. Mike and Eleven held hands together as they paid attention to the boy carefully.

Allison flowed to continue. "Some of us here are still wondering who is who and even though we looked like we're someone who you can't trust and you moved to know us better as much as you can. We appreciate you for it." Nancy approved as she bobbed her head. It's certainly true because none of them were familiar with each other and yet, created a bond they never expected they will going to miss.

"And, Eleven." The schoolboy faced the girl as he pulled out something from his pocket. It was the necklace he have been wanting to offer to her as a sign of gratitude.

"Allow me to give this necklace to you because you made me pursue my obligations as a brother to protect and care for someone like you. Throughout the years, I and my siblings fought a lot and I failed as their brother to do my part. I have never been a great sibling. I always have my shortcomings and you have let me feel that I can also be a great brother. You made me realize things that benefited me. Jane, thank you so much for everything." The fifth Hargreeves stated and handed the necklace that has an umbrella pendant for her to remember she experienced memorable journeys with the Hargreeves.

Max began to hug Lucas. She could not contain this farewell it breaks her heart.

Eleven examined the necklace and revealed a wide smile to indicate she adored the precious thing sincerely. "Beautiful. Thank you, Five."

Klaus ended the farewell by saying, "Thank you so much, weirdos, for permitting us to have you in our chaotic life. You have our full gratitude. Oh my god, I will miss Hawkins and Eggos. Anyways, these waffles are good. Can I have some to eat in our timeline?"

Their laughs were revealed for the final time as one.

As an indication of appreciation for Steve, he handed Diego something that will remember him. The gun he used at the shop. "Have this. This can be useful when someone tries to knock on your life again, and please do remember me." At first, Diego threw him a suspicious stare sarcastically but then received it after. The second Hargreeves did the same as he passed Harrington the knives he mentioned earlier.

"Have this too. In case monsters will start to block your way again." The mullet claimed it as they jiggled their hands together.

"I will start practicing how to use this. Thank you, knife boy." Steve saluted.

After they bid goodbye to one another, the fifth Hargreeves placed the briefcase in the middle. The siblings held hands concurrently as the schoolboy began to release the energy for his powers. The papers on the bulletin board began to sway as the tables were disorganized due to the vibration of energy. All of them stepped back as they witnessed the start of the teleportation and their eyes widened in amazement.

"WOAH!" They shouted in astonishment and felt the waves of energy touch their flesh.

"Good luck with the future! Tell us if life there improved and if it's beautiful! We'll do our best to be still alive in that generation!" Dustin yelled, pushing to make his voice more audible than the sound of waves and energy for them to hear him.

A flash of powerful vibrant blue light surrounded them and they abruptly disappeared, already leaving Eleven, her friends, and her family in the year 1985.

They might be on the wrong timeline, but they met wonderful people at the right time.
