(Ash' POV)
"Here you go", I said as I handed the written account of the incident to Drew and turned around to leave.
"Did I say you could leave?"
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"You are going to stay here till I ask you to leave. Now let me read what you've written."
'What is he trying to do now?', I thought while Drew read the report.
"So you suspect Harley's girlfriend?"
"Yes. I would also like to search her house."
"Not possible"
"Why?"
"Do you know where she lives?"
"No but I'm sure Harley might"
"Will his father allow you to question him?"
"Well...there has to be someone who knows her!"
"Why do you strongly suspect her?"
"Because of her behavior"
"What behavior?"
'What's wrong with him today? He was in his usual mood when I called him', I thought. Before I could answer the previous question, I was asked another.
"Did you see her after the party?"
"No but we did overhear her conversation"
"What was she speaking about?"
"She said, "I hope you are ready. You must make no mistake", I answered as I recalled.
"And how does this prove anything?"
"So you really don't want me to search her house, do you?"
"No"
"Why?"
"Didn't I just say so"
"Strange...why do have a sudden interest in getting involved in our cases? You've never interfered before!"
"Are you trying to say that I'm lazy and don't care about those who are working under me?"
"No, but I would really like to ask you something! Are you hiding something? Or perhaps...someone?"
"Don't blindly accuse people. And no matter what you do or say, I won't be giving you permission!"
"Fine! I can find her without your help!", I yelled and left for home.
'Why is he acting so strange? He did sound like his usual self when I had called him earlier. Did something happen after that? Or maybe...before the call?' , I thought.
I was at my doorstep when I suddenly remembered about Cilan. I quickly got into the car and rushed towards his house.

(Cilan's POV)
After taking out my anger on Ash I somehow managed to get back home, the ball still clutched in my hand. I went to my desk and placed the ball on my left. I grabbed a notebook and started writing about today's events in case I had overlooked something. While I was doing so, my eyes fell on the ball. Something wasn't right. I grabbed the ball and pushed aside my notebook to make room for it.
'It's weight...', I thought right before I blacked out. I fell from chair onto the floor while the ball rolled away.

Sorry for the late update and a short chapter since I have been and will be busy. I'm not sure when I'll update the next chapters since I've got practicals, preboards, boards and entrance exams from tomorrow to August.
Thank you for reading!
