Conner Darcy was and intriguing 16 year old boy. He wasn't too sporty, but he wasn't a nerd either. He was average in school, and he like to read. He didn't talk much and didn't have many friends. He was a silent boy, the kinds that lurk in the hallways watching everything unfold. But he wasn't creepy either.
He had one friend however, Annabeth Chase. He saw her sitting alone so he decided to join her at lunch. They had bonded over the book she was reading which was one of his personal favorites.
The one negative thing about being her friend was that they never hung out during weekends. She never told him where she was going. Conner really wanted to hang out with her since they didn't talk about much other than books. Maybe they could hang out at the library?
He had a small crush on her. Conner always wondered who wouldn't have a crush on her. He loved her golden princess curls and her sparkling grey eyes that were filled with knowledge. He thought she was very pretty.
The school uniform made her even more pretty in his eyes. Nobody in their school except her could wear the plaid skirt, black stockings, a white buttoned up shirt, grey blazer and a grey tie look good. He loved how she loosened her tie a bit and how the blazer complimented her eyes. He tried not to stare at her during school since he didn't want to look creepy.
Anyhow, it was a Friday, and Conner was determined to go hang out with Annabeth. He wan't going to ask her, he had a plan.
He saw Annabeth after school, and ran after her. "Annabeth! I am failing math!" said Conner. That was a lie, he had B's in that subject.
"really?" asked Annabeth
"I was hoping I could come over and you could tutor me? Please?" I asked
Annabeth pursed her lips, and fiddled with her backpack. "I suppose I could, how about you come over?"
"Sure! Thanks!" I said, and Annabeth called a taxi. We slipped in, I congratulated myself on my amazing thinking.
---OoO---
"After paying the Taxi driver, Annabeth and Conner went up the stairs to somebody's apartment. Conner wondered who Annabeth stayed with on the weekends. Parents? Sibling? Cousin?
Annabeth pulled out a key, and opened the apartment number 319. Opening the door, she kicked her shoes off and took off her grey blazer which she hung up. "Sally, I'm home!"
Was Sally an older sister? Aunt? Conner wanted answers
A woman in her early thirties came in, with blue splotches on her apron. "Annabeth! I thought you were coming tomorrow" said Sally, and gave Annabeth a big hug, and waved to Conner who waved back.
"Yeah, but she cancelled so I came here. Besides I miss him"
Who did Annabeth miss? Conner felt jealousy rise in him.
Sally smiled at them, and led them into the house. "I made cookies, fresh out of the oven" she said leading taking them into the kitchen in front of... blue cookies?? "Enjoy!"
"This Conner" said Annabeth and bit into a cookie. "He's a friend in school and need help with math"
"I hope you like the cookies Conner. My son likes them blue" said Sally.
Conner nodded, and bit into a blue cookie. His eyes widened, they were delicious! Blue food was definitely better than normal food!
---OoO---
Conner and Annabeth had sat down to do their homework in the living room when the front door opened. A boy around their age entered and he was wearing jeans and a Goode hoodie. Did he go to Goode?
