Hi guys! I hope you are liking this story so far. Here is something interesting for you to do. Open google translate and translate Will Percy Jackson ever die into Greek (Don't add a question mark). Then translate the Greek you get back into English and the answer will shock you! Now for the chapter:

It was the last day of school, and the last day of junior year. Next came senior year and then we are off to college. But I had something else on my mind right now, rather someone. Her name was Annabeth Chase.

She was perfectly gorgeous and I could go on and on about her. Anyway she was so beautiful with her golden curly hair that cascaded down her back in cute little ringlets. Oh and her striking grey steely eyes that seemed to calculate your every move.

Did I also tell you she was extremely smart? No? Well she is. She gets A+ on very test, and A's in English since she has dyslexia. I also have dyslexia and ADHD just like her. I sighed as I thought about her. We were both pretty smart, I also looked good and had a great sense of style, and we loved school. I was also her best friend so I knew her the most.

I mean, we had been going to school together since sophomore year. She dissapeared halfway and came back this fall. But whatever, we were close as ever and I am pretty sure she would want to be my girlfriend.

I fixed my tie - it was part of our uniforms- and walked in through the metal double doors. I saw Annabeth leaning against her locker with her nose buried in a large book about architecture. Typical, she is obsessed with architecture and quite good at it.

I cleared my throat and walked up, and she looked over the top over book. She smiled and closed her book. "Oh hey Mark"

"Hey Annabeth" I began. "I was hoping if-"

Her phone began to ring. Great. Just my luck.

She held up her finger and answered it. "Hi?" she grinned. "Hey!.... yeah, why?..." she laughed, an butterflies flew around in my stomach. "aw, miss you too... sure.... yup!....see you... okay... love you too, bye" she said and put her phone in her pocket. She looked at me expectantly and I mentally facepalmed.

"Oh yeah! sorry. I was asking if you would like to-"

Then the bell rung. Really? Its like the universe is against me asking out my crush. Annabeth smiles at me. "Tell me after school?" she asks, and I nod.

"Sure" I say, and she walks down the hallway and out of sight.

---OoO---

I emptied my locker and carried my heavy bag to the packing lot. After putting it in the seat beside me, I got into the drivers seat and began to drive home. As I slowed to a stop at a traffic light, I groaned. I had forgot to ask Annabeth. I cursed under my breath and groaned. I would have to call her later on today.

Scolding myself for my stupid mistake, I pulled up in front of my apartment and parked my car. I carried my backpack to the door when I heard a loud growl behind me. I walked away slowly since I didn't want to deal with a stray dog. Except it was no stray dog. It was large and had red eyes which bore through your soul. He had drool dripping off of his large fangs and looked like it was going to kill me.

I dropped my backpack out of fear and stared at the dog frozen. The creature growled at me again, before charging at me like a bull. I stood there not knowing what to do, expecting my guts to be pulled out. As soon as the dog was about to pounce on me, a boy took out a sword and sliced it in half and it exploded into golden dust.

The boy turned around, and I was surprised to see it was my neighbor; Percy Jackson.

"Mark?" he asked and closed his sword turning it back into a pen. He tucked the pen into his pocket and then turned to face me. "Did you see that?" he asked
