Still A Bully

You wake up, panting. You'd just gone through the Changing, but you now feel great, brand new almost. If it weren't for the memories you just relived.

"What do you remember?" Gally asks, looking concerned. You back up on your bed, back into the wall behind you. He looks confused now.

"Get away from me," you say, scrambling off your bed and onto the floor. He walks towards you, cautious, but you just scream.

"What's going on, Y/N?"

"Like you don't know," you spit. Thomas, Newt and Chuck, along with a couple Med-jacks, are watching you, but you don't care.

"I don't," he says, stuttering.

"I remember high school, Gally," you say, hoping it'll spark something in his eyes.

"Baby, what's going-"

"Don't 'baby' me, Gally, or whatever your real name is," you hold a pillow up in defence so he doesn't try to touch you. Luckily, he gets the hint.

"I don't know what you're talking about, Y/N."

"Hmm, I don't know, my sophomore year of high school. Better yet, the crap WICKED called high school. We were very young when they took us, gave us our own little school. And you were the biggest piece of klunk I've ever seen," you growl. He's still confused, obviously not receiving a chunk of the memories you got from his own Changing. "You bullied me, Gally. You treated me awfully. You'd trap me in my own shower and wouldn't leave until you saw a little skin. You beat me when I wouldn't have sex with you. You got a bunch of the guys to call me rude names, making fun of me all the time. I was depressed, Gally, all thanks to you."

Everyone in the room went silent as you spewed newly found hatred for your now-ex-boyfriend.

"But I'm different now," Gally starts pleading, his eyes getting all wet with tears. You just shake your head.

"No you're not. You're the same person, just without all those memories. You bully others now, Gally. Newt, Minho, especially Thomas. You treat everyone horribly in the Glade. You deserved to be Banished," you start pushing past him, but he grabs your shoulders.

"Baby, I love y-"

"Well, I don't love you, and I regret ever having those feelings for you. You may have lost most of your memories, but your crappy personality stayed. I wish I never said yes," you spit the last sentence in his face, kick him where it hurts the most, and walk away. Tear stream down your face. How could someone ever be that cruel to a girl?

You sit against a tree by the Deadheads, crying. He raped you. He slapped you. He treated you like his slave. He and a few boys you can barely recognize made fun of you in class all the time. They made the last year of your old life a living hell before they went up into the Glade. You spent that time without him crying and moping, hating that at the end, you had to go up there and face him again, even if you were to have no recollection of the brutal things he did to you.

Looking at him now sent you over the edge. Why, of all memories, were those ones given to you? They were going to haunt every dream you'll ever have for as long as he lives.

And he's still a bully.
