Chapter 16: Sports Festival Heating Up

Ayanokouji POV

The second part of the Sports festival was beginning, but prior to it starting, I had a word with my teammates.

Me: Itsuka, anyone that comes from behind as well as any projectiles to bottom and sides of our formation, use your quirk to protect us.

Itsuka: Look at you are taking charge, sure!

Me: Ibara, try tripping or baiting out other groups so I can finish them off.

Ibara: Ok

Me: Kodai, make sure to stead the inside and use your quirk to protect your friends. I'll handle the offense.

I finished talking as the second part of the Sports festival officially began.

It was a dog fight from the very beginning. There were multiple groups who already had their bands taken away by the super team Bakugo put together, as well as his mentality to get as much points as possible. As I was thinking about the situation at hand, I saw Midoriya's group being attacked by other teams. 

Going after Midoriya's points seems ideal, however, that is not my approach. After all, I'm not going to be the only person who will be trying to steal his points after all. I have a feeling another team, like Todoroki's team, will ultimately collect those points later. 

Based on the number of points dispersed, if we have a good number of points, with Bakugo going through multiple groups to the attention to Midoriya, passing is very simple. I tell my group to move forward to a team being flanked on both sides. It looks like their points will be taken sooner rather than later. 

I transform my right arm into a bow, and my fingernails into tiny shrapnel arrows as I aim and shoot both teams in their legs, throwing them completely off balance as I had Ibara use her vines to trip them up. 

I transformed my arm back to normal and then grabbed both of their bands, putting them on my right shoulder.

???: Thank you for saving us!

Me: Who said I was saving you?

I grabbed him off the base of their team and took his band. I threw him back to them as they fell all over the place.

Me: It looks we have a good number of points right now, including the points allocated to us in the beginning of the exam.

Itsuka: Nice plan, Ayanokouji, I never knew your quirk was so versatile.

I nod, as I see 2 other groups coming in.

Me: All of you, run at full speed, and make sure you catch me.

Ibara, Itsuka, Kodai: Huh?

I leep off and transformed my arm into a hammer and launched both teams into the stands as I went down and was caught by my teamates.

Me: Just as planned.

Itsuka: Not bad, Ayanokouji.

Me: I have their two bands. For now, since we have enough points, we can just stay out of other people's ways.

They agreed as we were laid back for a bit, until Bakugo screams and almost takes our band. I dodged, keeping my composure, as he starts to use Mina's acid to take out our groups base. I create shields and finally, I resorted to making a shotgun which blasted them away a few feet.
