Leah Morris
"I'm surprised that you come without Adrian tailing." Phoenix chuckled and Lana followed.
"Well.. I told him that I'll meet you to talk about us joining you." I said confidently and Phoenix nodded.
"We're happy to hear that, Leah, but are you sure? We knew about your condition before this from Adrian." Lana asked as she looked at me worried. I shook my head and let out a long sigh.
"It was tough.. back then. When I joined ILLICIT or should I say when I work for ILLICIT. It was not the best experience but I've seen Dean and.. he saved my life even though he wanted to kill me at the same time." I said as I looked at the cup of coffee in front of me.
"Dean is really something, something about that just.." I turned to Lana and she couldn't even describe it.
"Okay, let's cut the chase. We both gladly to accept you and Adrian but.. you really need his permission first. I understand that you come here with a good intention but.. I'm afraid that you and Adrian have to agree to this." Phoenix said and I turned to Lana. She looked at me sadly and pouted.
"This is indeed a dangerous world, Leah. The circle that you're in is not for everyone. We totally understand that you care and want to help but without Adrian agreeing to this.. we can't let you in." Phoenix said and I completely understand.
"I'm so sorry." Lana said and I smiled.
"How about you call him?" Phoenix asked and I nodded. I took out my phone and decided to call him but it doesn't seem to connect.
"Leah, go upstairs to the rooftop. We kinda blocked the signal here for.. security reasons.. we forgot to tell you that." Lana said and she led me to the rooftop stairs. She gestured me to go up and I nodded. I went up and kept trying to call Adrian.
As I kept looking my phone, I noticed some rose petals on the ground. I looked at it confuse and decided to look up. My eyes widen seeing Adrian there with a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
"Adrian, what the hell are you doing here?" I asked as I looked around. He decorated the Sterling's rooftop with beautiful flowers and rose petals. I walked to him still completely confuse with the situations.
He grabbed my hand and gave me the flowers. I smiled and smelt it.
"Thankyou." I said and he suddenly got on one knee. He left me speechless as he took out a black velvet box and opened it.
"Leah Morris. Will you marry me?" He asked and the second I couldn't control my emotions. Everything went out and I cried. I hugged him tightly and whispered in his ear, "Yes."
He hugged me as he slowly got up. We stayed like that for a couple minutes. I felt so happy, surprised and really.. just.. speechless. I pulled back and kissed him.
"I'm glad that you say yes." He said and I chuckled. He wiped my tears.
"Of course, I will say yes, silly." I said and he smiled. He then looked down to my hand and put the ring on my ring finger.
"I love you." I said and he smiled before he picked me up and spun me around.
"I love you too." He said and he crashed his lips to mine. He hugged me tightly and buried his head to my neck.
"I guess you know that I'll come here huh?" I asked.
"Of course, I know you too well at this point."
"Then you should know that we have to join them." I said as I cupped his face.
"I already did, I already told them." He smirked and I looked at him disbelief. He then proceed to laugh and then we both heard someone coughing. We turned to see the Sterling smiling near the rooftop door.
"Can I be the best man?" Phoenix asked and Adrian chuckled.
"What makes you think you can?"
"Hey! You used my roof-"
"Congratulations!" Lana smacked Phoenix's arm and then she walked to me as she opened her arms. She hugged me and then she looked at the ring.
"It's beautiful.. awwww." She hugged me again.
"Welcome to the club, Nielsens." Phoenix said and I turned to Adrian. We both looked at each other and I smiled widely.
Leah Nielsen? OMG. Even saying it made me flutter and just.. give me butterflies.
"So.. should we celebrate this?" Phoenix asked.
Dean Alessandro
When I heard the news about Adrian and Leah got engaged, I felt nothing. I knew this day would come but I never knew it will come soon.
Now, I got the wedding invitation from them. It seems they both joined Phoenix and Lana making their own team. I'm partly glad that Phoenix and Adrian got together again but.. I know deep down that it's not a good choice.
They should have known better that involving their partner with ILLICIT is not a good choice. They saw what happened, they knew what happened in the past but they don't learn, do they?
"You got the invitation?" Chance walked into my office.
"Are we going to come like Phoenix's wedding?" He asked and I turned around. I looked straight to his eyes and shook my head.
"You better take care of Angelo and make sure that shithead stays on the right path." I hissed.
"Roger that." Chance smirked and he walked out from my office. I looked at the wedding invitation and threw it to the trash can.
Idiots. Fucking idiots.
