Leah Morris
It's been 3 weeks since I left London.
I can say that I've been missing Adrian a lot. He's been on my mind a lot. I've been struggling to get him out but ended up thinking about him again.
He's living there rent free, he needs to pay rent.
I've been debating too whether should I text him, call him or I don't know. I've been quite some time since I heard his voice too. My family caught me looking at my phone a lot and my sister thinks that I have a boyfriend back in London.
"I'm glad that your back here for good, we missed you." Paula, Enna and Trish hugged me tightly and I'm glad that I got to go shooping with my girls again.
I told them that I quitted my job and just want to go home because it's too much.
For the past 3 weeks, I've been jobless too but the salary that ILLICIT gave me was enough to keep me sane for a while. My dad actually wanted me to rest because he knew something had happened with me but he didn't ask much.
"So.. where did you get back here?" Paula asked.
"Around 3 weeks ago."
"What?! Why didn't you call us right away?" Enna pouted and I chuckled.
"It was a lot and I needed some rest."
"You didn't even have time to call us, what is it like there? Did you have a boyfriend? I heard that Britisth man hits different." Trish asked curiously.
"No, I don't have a boyfriend. I barely have time to date, I was so busy with work." I said and that's true.
"You don't find someone cute?" Enna smirked teasing me and I chuckled.
"I did but he's out of my league." We went to the mall and started to look shop. I bought some makeup and clothes. For lunch, Trish wanted to go to her favorite asian restaurant.
When I saw the menu, it gave me flashbacks in Paris. When me and Adrian went to a restaurant late at night and I ordered a crab. I looked at the menu and found a similar menu. I ordered it right away.
The girls were busy talking about nails and beauty products but I was not invested in that. Days had passed and I miss Adrian more than I thought I would be.
When the food came, I just looked at it blankly. I was not able to touch it without going back through the memory lane.
"The crab won't peel itself, Leah." Trish said as she's busy with her shrimp.
"Is everything okay?" Enna asked worried.
"I'm good." I said and I grabbed plastic gloves and started cracking the crab.
After lunch, the girls dragged me to the nail salon. We got our nails done and it was fun to talk to them. It's been a while since I catch up and it helped me to distract myself from thinking about Adrian.
My phone rang and it was Lana.
"Hey Lana." I answered her call.
"Hey! How are you?" She asked in her cheery tone.
"I'm fine, thankyou. How about you?"
"I'm great, I was just wondering.. if you're free. I'm currently in Seattle, Phoenix actually has some work here." She said and I turned to the girls.
"Now? I'm actually with my friends. When would you like to meet?"
"Oh? Really? I don't want to ruin your girls' day then.."
"Wait a second."
"I have a friend and she's visiting Seattle with her husband. I was wondering if she could join us." I asked the girls and they nodded.
"Lana, how about you join us?" I asked because I really don't mind introducing her to the girls. We could hangout together.
"Really? Will that be okay? I don't want to ruin your day, Leah."
"No! You're not, how about you join us? We're going for a coffee." Lana ended up agreeing and I gave her my location. As we're waiting for Lana, I told my friends a little about her.
They all can't wait to meet her.
Lana told me that she was 2 minutes away. I went out from the coffee shop and a black car stopped in front of me. She came out from the car along with Phoenix.
"Nice seeing you again, Leah." Phoenix gave me a brief hug.
"Nice see you again too, Phoenix."
"Please take care of my wife, I have meeting to attend." He said and I nodded. After Phoenix left, Lana squealed and gave me a big hug. We walked into the coffee shop together and I introduced Lana to Enna, Trish and Paula.
They all clicked immediately and Trish just can't stop complementing Lana for how beautiful she is. They thought Lana was single but she was far from that, she's married to a billionaire and herself is also rich.
We talked for hours and decided to go shopping. Even though Phoenix left her with me, she still has guards looking after her. She said that Phoenix loved to have extra security for her to be safe, just in case.
"Did Adrian contact you?" Lana asked when we're both alone.
"No."
"Oh."
"Why? Did something happen?" I asked a little worried.
"He's not answering my text lately, that's why I'm asking you." I shook my head and Lana sighed.
"I wonder what's wrong with him." That made me worried about Adrian and I've been debating whether to call him or not. Will it matter? He's not even responding to Lana's text, why would he respond to me?
That night, I couldn't sleep. I can't stop worrying about him. I looked at the time and it's 3 in the morning, it means it's around 11 in London. Should I call him? I want to make sure whether he's okay or not.
I dialed his number and I bit my lips waiting for him to answer. Why isn't he answering the phone? Oh no.
"Adrian, are you okay?" I whispered as I paced back and forth in my room waiting for him to pick up.
"Please.." I begged. I kept calling and calling him but still no answer.
