Adrian Nielsen
I heard a scream from the main lab and I quickly ran to it because I'm pretty sure Leah was in that lab. When the door opened, she was standing at the corner looking at the smart table in horror.
"What happen?" I asked and she was surprised to see me.
"Mr. Nielsen, nothing happen." She said as she tried to be normal and walked towards the smart table. I walked towards it and found three Xycromatte cubes there just doing fine. It's not blowing up or anything.
"I really hate when I have to ask you twice, Leah." I hissed as I put my hands on my hips looking at her raising my eyebrows.
"I thought it's going to blow up.. it's making a beeping sound." She said and I raised my eyebrows. I looked at her codes for this and checked it one by one.
"It's not going to blow up unless you pu-" I turned to her and it was going to blow up.
"See.." She said pouting and I sighed. I got up and gestured her to follow me. I brought her to my private lab because there's a smart table with protection incase anything blow up.
"Mr. Nielsen, this is your.. uhmm.. private lab." She said and I gestured her to come in.
"You'll be working here starting tomorrow, just don't be clumsy about the coding." I said as I showed her how the smart table in my lab works. She was looking at it intensely that I noticed her keep bitting her bottom lip.
"Do you have anything to say?"
"I know this might sound a little bit rude but I think Ms. Nielsen might have put an emergency coding in Xycromatte. I mean.. I bet you know about it bu-"
"What?" I had no idea that Aria put an emergency code for it.
"She was being very smart about it and I just found out about it a few minutes before you came in."
"What was the code?"
"Apparently if those intruders happened to take all the Xycromatte cubes, it won't work like they think it would work. It has a destruction mode that can make them blow up but not as big as it should be." She said and I raised my eyebrows.
"There's no need to manipulate the code, Ms. Nielsen already did it." I guess Aria is smarter than I thought despite how stupid she acts sometimes.
"Mr. Nielsen, could you tell me who the inside man was?" She asked and I sat down on my chair looking at the smart table blankly.
"It was Chris, he's not from our team. Apparently he was working with the Russian mafia. They knew about the Xycromatte cubes and wanted them so bad. They tried to duplicate it but they couldn't. They wanted to get the design and the real Xycromatte to see what's inside and what type of explosion that we put in such tiny cube." I answered and she nodded.
"Does it happen frequently?"
"Yes, we got a lot of attacks and threats every day. We produce weapons and we know too much about everything so of course there will be people out there wanting to kill us and get our stuffs." I turned to her and she gulped nervously.
"You wanted to work at Lemiere before coming here and do you think they don't get the same threats? They do and maybe so much worse than that." I laughed sarcasticly.
"It means you're living your life knowing that you might die tomorrow?" She asked and I nodded.
"Still caught on with the people that I killed in front of you?" I asked in a cold tone.
"To be honest, yes. I have so much questions about it because I never saw someone not even hesitating to kill people like that. It makes me think that you're doing it everyday."
"You're scared of me?" I asked completely amused. She looked away and gulped nervously. That explains why she always have her distance when it comes to me.
"You should be scared, I'm not as nice as you think I am." I chuckled and she took a step back making me more amuse than ever. I got up from my chair and walke towards her.
I stood beside her and caressed her arm with the back of my hand. Her body was shaking and she turned to me nervously.
"That's why I told you to resign, I still have patience towards you but once I'm starting to lose it.. I'm going to kick you out. You should not make it a big deal about me killing those people, you might not understand it right now.. but you'll understand it one day." I said in a cold tone as we both locked our eyes with each other.
"They have families and their love ones and there's a chance that they might not be the brain of it. They might be working for the bigger people and you can catch the big fish using the small ones." She said and I can see her regreting the things that she said right away.
"They should have think it through, I don't care if they have families or someone they love. They had a choice and coming here was a big mistake. This is my territory and I could kill anyone I want." I said and she gulped nervously again.
"You're working for ILLICIT not Estelle, Leah. Just because I saved you once, you can be a brat about things that I do or complain about my decisions." I hissed at her.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Nielsen." She said as she looked down.
"You're starting to get on my nerves, Leah. You should keep your mouth shut and just work what I told you to. If you can't stand being here, it's easy to walk away." I said and walked pass her. I got out from the lab and loosen up my tie because it's choking me.
She's pissing me off.
