Fun fair - Nayeon

"Over here Y/N!" a giggly voice shouted from past the dazzling lights of the fun fair.

"I'm coming nayeonie just stop running away" I panted as I walked to the girl who was sat on the bench waiting for me to catch up. She was always way too excited whenever we came to a fun fair as she liked the tall and fast rides and especially the food.

"Your too slow, come on and sit down to catch your breath...lazy" she said while whispering the last part so quietly I couldn't pick it up

"What did you say at the end there?"

"I called you lazy Y/N". As she said that she knew there would be trouble so she shot up and sprinted off as I followed closely behind

"Stop running, I'm gunna be sick before I even go on the tall rides!" I pouted at her, which she couldn't resist

"Okay okay I'll stop, now let's go on this ride" she said bouncing up and down on the spot. She took my hand in hers and used her other to point at a ride towering in-front of us. 

"There is no way I am getting on that" I said in a stern voice. The ride was almost as tall as the clouds and it spun at a rapid speed, spinning backwards and forwards. It enough to scare anyone. I had always been afraid of heights but Nayeon managed to push my limits and make me go on a few of the less tall rides. This was the one i was dreading the most.

"Come on it'll be fun, whenever we go here you never go on this. It's our 1 year anniversary.. pleaseeeee Y/N" she said in a voice which she puts on whenever she wanted something from me. Stupid thing is it normally ends up working on me.

Like now.

"Fine, but you can't just use that on me every time you want me to do something. You know I can't resist your cuteness"

"Thank you thank you!" she said giving me a quick peck on the lips before pulling me into a seat on the ride. I already knew this was going to be hell. 

"Y/N, you should see your face right now. You look petrified! And it hasn't even started!!" she said while laughing loudly

"That's because I am bunny. You bought me on this death trap of a ride and I fear for my life"

"Stop being such a baby, see it's moving now!" she said pointing down to the floor as we were being lifted into the sky.

Fear crept over my body as I grabbed hold of Nayeon's hand and held it tightly that I was surprised she was still able to feel it. I decided to close my eyes the entire ride as keep my mouth shut. Occasionally I let out little screams to show how scared I was but Nayeon was screaming the whole way throughout. They were obviously screams of excitement as she kept waving her arms up in the air and saying how fun it was. Of course I felt the opposite.

"Finally that is over" I stated as we hopped out the seats we had been in

"Can we do it again?!" Nayeon shouted at me jumping from excitement

"NO!" I shouted a little too loud

"Y/N don't be so loud!" she hit my shoulder while bowing to the people passing us, apologising for my screaming

"That was the worst thing you have ever taken me on"

"Aww was my baby Y/N scared?" 

"Don't tease me, it was terrifying"

"Well we are off now, don't be scared love" she said while she walked in-front of me and pushed a strand of my wind-blown hair behind my ear.

"It was less scary with you there. Thank you" I had stared into her eyes and just like every day her beauty amazed me. She looked perfect in every way and the view of the sea behind her didn't help me in getting lost into her eyes. 

"Hey you gunna carry on staring at me? It's getting late you know"

"Oh uh..ye..yeah sorry I just got distracted"

"Oh, by what?"

"By you." The words just fell straight out of my mouth and even though we had been together 1 year already it still felt odd showing her how much I love her.

"I love you too Y/N" 

She leaned in and embraced me in a passionate kiss which made me feel the safest anyone could ever feel. Her soft lips always calmed me down even when I didn't need it. I just melted into her touch and after a few seconds I stood there hugging her with my head on her shoulder.

After a few minutes in that position she spoke up.

"Y/N..I'd love to stay in this position with you but it's getting late and we should be going home. The dogs are probably missing us and I'm getting tired after this amazing day we have spent together"

"Yeah your right, come on let's go bunny"

She giggled at the nickname as I took her hand and we began walking back to our house. We walked slowly and decided to take the more scenic route back home. That meant crossing the beach which was a perfect place to give her my gift. As we walked on the beach closer to home I slowed down my walking pace which she had noticed

"Why are you walking slower, don't tell me your tired and I'll have to give you a piggy back" she joked

"No it's not that.."

"Then what is it, your scaring me slightly" I could hear the nervousness in her voice.

I slowly reached into my back pocket and brought out a velvet blue box and presented it in-front of me. I opened it while being careful not to drop it.

"This isn't what I think it is, is it Y/N?"

"If you think it's a wedding ring..it's not"

"Good!" she said in a relieved voice. That reaction kind of broke my heart as it made me think she didn't want us to get married. Accidentally, I showed that emotion on my face.

"Oh my gosh! I didn't mean it as that I just meant I wanted to be the one to propose silly" she said while looking at me lovingly.

"It's a promise ring. And I got this ring to make a promise to you that I will love you every day for the rest of my life. To show you I will never leave you no matter what happens and I am waiting for the day you decide to ask me to be yours fully"

Tears crept in her eyes and threatened to fall down her face. Mine had already fallen as I was a crying mess..

She noticed and wipedmy tears from my face bwfore stepping backwards and beaming a smile at me.

"Who knew you could be so cute Y/N. Put the ring on me then!"

"Sorry I'm just.." 

"Happy?" She cut me off my sentence before I could finish. "I'm happy too, your the best partner anyone could ask for and I love you soooooo much"

"Gosh, don't be so cheesy Nayeon!"

"Wha-but you started it!!"

"Yeah yeah, come on cutie let's go home"

I took her hand in mine again as we carried on walking back home across the glistening beach after one of the best nights of my life.
