"Excuse me, Filch?" I asked in the Great Hall.
He scowled at me, "What do you want?"
"Something tastes funny," I pointed back at the table, "can you try it?"
"Do I have to?" He asked, leaning against the wall.
I crossed my arms, "It would be the nice thing to do. Unless you would like to get fired for making students become ill."
He rolled his eyes, "Fine."
He followed me to my seat. I winked at the twins. I grabbed one of the twins' Canary Creams and handed it to him.
Everybody watched as he tried the candy and transformed into a Canary before our eyes.
As he shrunk, his cat, Mrs. Norris started going insane, chasing him.
All four of the houses laughed at the bird hopping around. Eventually, Mrs. Norris caught onto Filch and began licking him up a storm.
McGonagall speed walked over to him and turned him back into a human right as Mrs. Norris was about to take a bite of him.
As he changed, feathers fell to the ground. When he was fully a human again, Mrs. Norris bit his ankle.
McGonagall glared at the twins and I, "Detention. Now."
They stood up and we followed her down to Hagrid's hut.
She knocked on the door rapidly and he opened the door.
"Why hello, Professor." He looked behind her at us three, "How may I help you?"
"We have these three students for you." McGonagall told him, "For detention."
"Alright." He nodded once, "Come in."
McGonagall moved out of the way so us kids could go in.
"Each of you grab a light." Hagrid said, pointing to the lamps on the table.
We all reached and grabbed a lamp, "Now what?" Fred asked.
"Come with me." He said, walking out the door, "Come on, Fang."
Fang hopped off of the chair and followed us outside.
We walked to the Dark Forest, "The Forbidden Forest?" I asked.
"Yes." Hagrid said.
"You mean to tell me that we are going into the Forbidden Forest at night?" I asked.
"Yes." Hagrid repeated.
"Why?" George asked, nudging me with his elbow, "You scared?"
"Yes." I admitted, "I am."
"Oh." George said, looking at the ground.
"What are we looking for, Hagrid?" Fred asked.
"Oh, um, spiders." He said.
"Spiders?" I asked, I started laughing, "Ron would love this." I said sarcastically.
"Alright," Hagrid said, stopping, "George and y/n go that way, Fred and I will go this way."
"Okay, Love."
I didn't even look at him, "Turn around, Fred."
"How did you know?" He asked.
I just looked at him and smiled, "I'm afraid that's classified information."
He shrugged, "Whatever."
I looked at Hagrid, "Can we have Fang?"
He nodded, "Sure, why not?"
I patted my knees, "Come here, Fang. Come here."
He walked over to me, "Good boy!" I said, petting him.
"Lets go, Love." George said, grabbing my shoulder.
We walked the opposite direction from Hagrid and Fred.
He looked down at me, "What exactly are you afraid of?"
"The dark." I nodded, "It kills me to not know what's lurking around me."
He grabbed my hand, "Well, I'm here with you."
I squeezed his hand and smiled, "That's true."

We stayed silent for a while until I heard a breaking twig, "What was that?"
George pulled me closer, "Nothings there."
"Are you sure?" I questioned.
"I'm here with you, you're okay." He reassured me.
I leaned into him and put my arm around his abdomen.
There was another crack, "Are sure that there's nothing there."
George didn't say anything back. I looked up at him, "George?"
He was staring off into the distance, "George?" I tried again.
      "BOO!"
I screamed and swung my elbow back, hitting Fred in the gut.
      "Blimey." He said.
I turned around, "Oh my God, Fred, I am so sorry, I didn't know it was you."
      He started laughing, "It's okay."
Hagrid came behind us, "It's about time that you all head back for bed."
We all nodded and walked back to the hut.

When we got back, we gave Hagrid our lamps and went on our way. Fred walked ahead of George and I. About halfway to the castle, I tripped over my own foot and rolled my ankle.
I sucked air in through my teeth, "Ow." I whispered.
George looked at me and helped me up, "Are you okay?"
I smiled, "Yeah, I just tripped." I took two more step and limped.
"Does it hurt?" George asked, looking at my ankle.
"No, I'm okay." I told him, trying to walk again.
"No, you're not, it hurts, I can tell." He shook his head at me, "I'll carry you."
"That isn't necessary." I told him, "I'm fine."
"Nope." He said, picking me up bridal style.
I put my left hand on his chest, and my right arm around the back of his neck, "Ridiculous."
      "That's a spell." He giggled.
He carried me all the way through the castle and into the Common Room. He set me down on the couch and sat next to me.
      "Thank you." I told him.
He smiled wide, "Anything for you, Love."
I smiled, "Is it sprained?" I asked.
He leaned forward and looked at it in a few places, "Nah."
      "Okay." I sighed, "That's good."
"Yes it is." He moved closer to me.
I can feel my cheeks flushing with reds and pinks.
He slowly brought his hand up to my face and moved my hair behind my ear. He set the same hand on my cheek.
"Have I ever told you how beautiful you are?" He asked, smirking.
I smiled, looking into his eyes, "Maybe once or twice."
"Good." He said, leaning in closer to my face, "I'm about to tell you a third time."
      "Oh?"
He looked down at my lips, and then back up to my eyes, "You are so beautiful."
He leaned in, pressing his lips against mine. I wrapped my left arm around his shoulders, sliding my right hand up his neck and into his hair.
The warmth of the never ending fire made this both better and worse. Pretty soon, he brought his other hand up to my cheek, cupping my face.
He pulled away and grinned. He set his forehead against mine.
"I'm going to bed." He told me.
      "Okay." I whispered.
He kissed me again then stopped, "Can you walk?"
"That's a good question." I stood up, my ankle still hurt a little bit, but otherwise it was okay, "Yeah, I think I'm fine."
He stood up and we started walking to our dorms. I tripped and just sat there.
"Love." He chuckled, "Let me help you."
He reached down and helped me up.
Fred came back down, "George, what were you doing?"
"I'll be up there in a second." He told Fred, picking me up, "I'm gonna help y/n, quick."
Fred smiled, "Ahh, snogging were we?"
I'm blushing again, "Shut up, Fred."
He laughed, walking back up the stairs to his dorm.
George carried me up the stairs to my dorm,  but he stayed quiet so Hermione and Ginny didn't wake up.
He carefully set me down in my bed, tucking me in, "Goodnight, Love."
      "Goodnight, Georgie."
He kissed me on the forehead and left. I stayed up for a while, trying to process what had just happened, but I ended up falling asleep within an hour.
