Bryce Russell-Stark's POV

One week later

Bryce stood from her desk chair. She hadn't come out of her room in a week, and she wasn't planning on it.

"Bryce? It's for you," Pepper said from outside her door.

"Who's it from?" she asked from within.

"...there's no return address, but it's not Tony,"

Bryce sighed, opening up her door and taking the letter from the kind Pepper Potts.

She ripped it open, almost not wanting to read it after she recognized the handwriting.

Dear Bryce,

I hope you're doing well.

I want to apologize for everything. I mean literally everything. I shouldn't have hit you, and you're right, Loki did do terrible things to you. I should've acknowledged that.

The thing is, I spent so much time hating him when I first met him, so when I finally came around to liking and eventually loving him, well... I didn't want to make the same mistake twice. So I tried to refrain from ever hating or hurting him, even though he was already gone.

I hope you and Tony get to better terms soon enough. I can't tell you where I am, but I've been on the run for some time now. I won't be able to come if you need help, because I'll probably be arrested anyway.

I don't know where Cap is. I can't find Steve or Bucky anywhere, but they evidently haven't been arrested, or the press would be blowing up about it. Sounds like Clint, Sam, and Wanda got out of jail, too. So there's that.

Nat's on the run. I don't know where she is. I'm very, very sorry. I hope you come into contact with her soon, though, because she does miss you very much.

Again, I'm very sorry for all the things I said. I was wrong. I need to accept that Loki did, in fact, do horrible things, even to me. I really wish we could've agreed on that before we started fighting.

You don't have to forgive me.

Love,

Ava Rogers-Wilder

Bryce stared at the letter for a second before her phone buzzed. She nearly gasped when she noticed that she'd received a text from Natasha.

She scooped up her phone hurriedly and checked it.

"I heard that a certain girlfriend of yours is down the street. 30 minutes. Don't be late,"

Grinning, Bryce tucked away the letter she'd gotten from Ava and sprinted out of her room, headed for Nat's location.
