"So.. what are we gonna do for your birthday?" Kayla asked, she was sitting on my bed with AG, I was sitting at my desk, and Maxine was sitting on her bed. It was around one on Wednesday. It was a rainy afternoon, Jax had to go to Raz's castle for something, Ollie was helping Balckbeard personalize his new ship, Hayley decided to hangout with some of her fellow mermaids, and  Jocelyn was off with Harlow somewhere.

"What?" I asked. I don't want to do anything for my birthday, really. I have too much attention on me already.

"Your birthday. Isn't it on Friday?" AG asked. "I mean, your sixteenth birthday is on a Friday when the weather is supposed to be good. The posibilities are endless."

"We could get Raz and the rest of the RWLs to throw you a ball or a picnic or something!" Maxine exclamed excitedly. I felt guilty that I was going to be arriving early to our RWL meeting later that day to tell Raz I was quitting.

"I don't want to draw attention to myself. I just want something low-key. And... I-I..." I trailed off.

"What's wrong, Gil?" AG asked, she was nervous. I could tell.

"I'm.. leaving the RWLs. I can't do it with my training with Red and-" Maxine cut me off.

"You don't need to explain. We know you don't like the RWLs. And we know your training is important to you. We get it." She smiled at me while AG nodded furriously. I sighed. That made one of the things I have to do a lot easier. The same mey not be said for the other things, however.

"Thanks, guys. I was hoping you'd get it.." I sighed again. "I... have to go do something." I stand up, ignoring my friends asking me what I had to do and walk out of mine and Maxine's room with a quick 'goodbye'.

I walked down the dormitory stairs, and headed for the entrance hall. I walked into the main entrace and saw that my headmistress' office door was open. I could see Wolfington within, he looked up when I entered the hall and smiled. He then looked back down at whatever him, Flora and as far as I could tell from the voices I heard, Sebastion, and Beauty. I walked over and knocked on the agacent door. Flora looked up and sighed.

"Ms.Cobbler, do come in," Wolfington said. Sebastion gave him a look but neither Flora nor Beauty seemed to object. I walk into the office. "If you be so kind as to close the door." I turned and pulled the heavy oak door closed behind me.

"Sit down, Gillian," Flora said, gesturing to a seat in front of her desk. Beauty was in one of them, Sebastion was behind her with his hands on her shoulders and Wolfington was standing beside Flora one hand on her desk.

"I hope I'm not interupting anything." I say awkardly as I sit down next to Beauty. She gives a motherly smile and I calm a little. The room seems tense.

"Not at all. We were just about to send for you and-" Flora started but was interupted moments later by a voice that I knew well.

"Me and Angelina." Grandma Pearl finnished.

"Grandma Pearl!" I yelled, jumping up from my seat to hug her. She wrapped her arms around me as soon as I was within arms reach.

"How've you been? Has your sister done aything else to you?" She said as she let go but held me by the shoulders.

"I- good. I've been good and Anna's kept out of trouble." I give her a weak smile. "How've you been?"

"Alive."

Sorry this ones so short but the next one is actually gonna be Gilly's B-day and I felt like there needed to be something before it. I hope you enjoyed it and, as always, reads, comments, and ratings are greatly appritiated! =)
