The New Happily Ever After Scrolls Article

Please keep in mind while reading this chapter that it takes place only a few weeks after the end of Cursed, I just made them older so I could do a storyline where dating rumors and such made sense. (Jax, Jocelyn, Kayla are 16. Gilly's birthday is coming up and she's 15. Ollie and Maxine are also 15 with thier b-days later in the year and AG is 15 but already had her b-day. Anna is 14 because she hasn't had her b-day yet, and Hanzel and Gretel are 15 aswell)

"Oh my god! Gilly, you have to see this!" Maxine practicly shreaked, she was reading the morning Happily Ever After Scrolls article the day after the ball.

"What is it?" I groaned, it was a Saturday and she was waking me up fairly early which isn't really my thing.

"Look." She said, her voice more urgent now. Once I saw the picture I didn't even need to read the title. This cannot be good.

hey used the picture of me and Jax! And... Jocelyn and AG are in the back! This can't be good. They're deffinately saying Jax and me are dating and.. wait, what are they saying about Jocelyn and AG?

"They're saying you and Jax are dating again, and Gil.." She stopped for moment. "You cna't honestly say this doesn't look like your dating, can you?" Maxine looked at me, she was half concerned half excited. (She thinks Jax and I look cute together).

I sigh. "Of course they are. Did they say anything about Joce (Jocelyn) and Ali (Gilly's nickname for AG)?" I was more worried about them. People had been saying Jax and I are dating since we deafted Alva almost a month ago, but I don't know how AG will deal if people start saying she's lesbian or something.

"Well... their speculating that they're gay or something... I doubt it's true, they just like to stir stuff up, y'know." She was choosing her words very carefully, it was obvious. "Um.. you should also know that Anna told them you guys were together..." She trailed off.

"She what?!" I couldn't believe what I'd heard, Anna.. she.. did she really? Why... why would she do that to me..? To Jax..?

Maxine just pointed to a spot in the article. It read:
"Gilly and Jax certainly have a thing. They always have, really." -Anna Cobbler, Gillian's sister. As you can see, there is certainly something going on with our prince and the hero of Enchantasia.

Oh. My. God. Anna really did that.. she really told them that. And ew, did they really call me 'the hero of Enchantasia'? That's a bit too much, I mean I'm kind of the reason it needed saving in the first place.

"I- I have to find Jax...! I hope he doesn't think I told Anna that. Oh my god, Max, what if he thinks I told her we were dating?!" I was freaking out. Did my sister just ruin my bestfriend's life? I mean.. A prince dating the shoemakers daughter? I don't thin it matters the I technically helped to save Enchantasia, people will stop caring eventually. Poor Jax. (Not literally, though). "What if Jax thinks this is my fault? What do I do? I've ruined his life!"

Maxine was taken aback my outburst and her good eye had gone wide and her bad one was rolling around in it's soccet. I felt bad for startling her, but this was a bit more important at the moment. "Don't be silly, Gilly. Jax won't think it's your fault and you did not ruin his life. Please calm down."

I wasn't really listening to her anymore, though. I got dressed as fast as could and ran down the dormitory stairs, Maxine was calling after me but there was only one thing on my mind. I had to find Jax before everything was ruined. Why does everything have to change at the same time? I ran into Ollie in the main hall (literally).

"Jeez, Gilly, where are you even going?" Ollie asked, clearly suprised that I was running around like a lunatic.

"I have to find Jax. Do you know where he is?" I asked, slightly out of breath. Ollie was on the verge of laughing, I knew he was, but anwsered me nonetheless.

"I think he was going to the library." Ollie says and then chuckles behind me as I race off toward the library. I probably look like a hot mess right now, but I couldn't care less. All that mattered was finding Jax.

I got to the library about five minutes later even though it was across almost the whole school. I walked right in, ignoring the fact that I was pretty sure I saw AG.

"He's in the back," Beauty said from behind me, she obviously knew I was looking for Jax.

"Thanks," I barely managed to breath out before I took off at a speed walk to the very back of the library and finnally stop when I see Jax. He looks up as I approach, a slightly amused look on his face.

"You alright, Theif?" He asked trying to keep from smirking.

"Fine. Look, Jax, I'm so sorr-" he cut me off almost right away.

"No need to apologize, Raz said she'd sort it out. I mean we knew she up to something." He said.

"Ugh. Why does everything always go wrong?" I groaned, "Anna just has to- to- nevermind."

"It's not illigal to admit what she's done, Theif. Are you sure your okay?" Jax said, his stikingly purple eyes filling with concern.

"I- yeah." I said loking down, I wasn't. I was not okay, but he didn't need to listen to me complain. No one did. So wasn't going to.

"You are a terrible liar, Gilly." Jax said, pulling me to sit down with him.

"No, I'm not."

"Well you just admitted you were lying," he said, smirking slightly, and pulling my chair closer to his so he can put his arm around me.

"I'm not bad at lying, though. You just pay too much attention to me." I said, I am nothing if not stubborn. Which Jax knew, of course.

"I don't pay too much attention to you, I just pay some attention to you. And I know your not okay. So, do you want to talk about it?" He said, turning to look my derectly in the eye so I knew he meant it.

I shook my head, I could feel the tears coming to my eyes nonetheless. I couldn't stop them. I knew that, so I didn't even bother to try. Jax pulled me into a hug, I didn't have to tell him what I was think because he already knew. He always did that. That's probably ehy he's my comfort person. Even if I feel bad about complaining to him. All of us have had so much on our plates and even if I porbably am more traumatized or upset or whatever else you want to call it, it didn't matter to me. I was used to taking of other people not being taken care of. Little did I know that was one of many things that was going to change.

Jax looked down at me, crying in his arms. I probably looked pathetic, but even if I did he would never say so. Although what happened next I never could have predidcted. Jax... kissed my forehead. And then turned into a tomato and hid his face, as I hid my face in his shoulder. He held me tighter and I stopped crying. But I didn't even try to move out of Jax's arms. We just stayed there.

Even when I heard Kayla squeal and Maxine go "aww". Even Ollie seemed to find it cute.

I am literally filled with butterflies right now, I love them UwU. Also I am going to continue the Acelyn storyline because I think it's fun and it adds to the story. One more thing, this chapter is dedicated to my friend DarkFeyMagick for their birthday! And you guys should really go check out her fanfic "Alva's Child" it's really good! :) Also the next chapter won't be emotional lol.
