Chapter 4

Calum's POV

As second period ends Luke and I leave and head outside to the big tree in front of our school. These 2 guys one of them having blue hair witch is pretty sick if I do say so myself greet us.

"This is Calum" Luke says and I give them a akward smile and a little wave, "Hi I'm Michael" says the lad with the bright blue hair "Hi I'm Ashton" the other one says.

We end up going to Luke's house and head to his garage where they have instruments, I see a sick looking bass guitar and pick it up.

"What are you doing" Luke asks with a confused look on his face, "Well I play bass and I think this is a great looking guitar" I say scratching the top of my head akwardly.

"Why do you have all these instruments?" I ask nervously "We have a band called 5 Seconds Of Summer named after our best friend Summer Grey" Michael answers.

Summer, Summer why does that sound so familiar. Wait I know why, she's the girl from first period.

"I think I have English first period with her" I blurt out trying not to blush from embarrassment, I didn't mean to say that out loud.

I'm still holding this sick guitar and my fingers start gently strumming Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana, great band and definitely my favorite song or theirs.

"Dude your sick" I hear Ashton's voice say and I give him a polite smile and start singing "Load up on guns, bring your friends it's fun to lose and pretend she's over bored and self assured Oh no, I know a dirty word"

When I am done the song the boys suprise me by all clapping and telling me how good of a singer I was and I shrewd on the guitar.

A couple hours later we are just about to leave but me being the stupid guy I am I decide to go up to luke and ask "Hey mate do you think it would be to much to ask if maybe I could have Summer's number?" Luke laughs at me but gives me her number a long with his Ashton's and Michael's.

When I get home I decide to have a shower and relax and maybe text Summer... No definitely text Summer.

After having a shower eating food and looking at Twitter im ready to grow some bloody balls and text this girl.

Me: Hey Summer 😃
Summer: Hey.. Who is this?
I wait a few minutes to text her back so I don't seem more creepy than this already is.
Me: Hey.. It's Calum the new kid, your buddy Luke gave me your number
Summer: Oh haha.. How do you know Luke?
Again I wait a minute or two.
Me: Erm, we met second period and skipped the rest of the day with these mates umm Michael and Ashton I believe
Summer: Oh okay, well I have to go bye

I really wish she didn't go it's only 8:30 by the time this conversation is over and im tired as hell so I just decided to go to bed.

The rest of the week goes by the same except I don't skip any periods and try to talk to Summer witch did not work out to well. We get a crap loud of homework everyday witch of course I complete, I go over to Luke's house after school each day because the boys asked me to be in the band.. I could not turn that down.

By the end of the week im exhausted and happy the week is over and I have my first gig with the boys tomorrow at a pretty big pub, witch I am very excited yet somewhat nervous for but I know playing with them we will do great.

Hey guys so I wrote more than half of this chapter at 5 in the morning because I woke up and just could not fall asleep and I am now wide awake.. Haha
