> We're really sorry for... uh... what we said before class... we didn't know it was you.
He laughs softly. Phew, he doesn't seem offended. I think he thinks it's pretty funny.
Sebastian > Yes, I gathered that.
He looks at us as if he's caught two little girls red-handed. But... there's something kind about this guy.
Sebastian > Here are your files, both of you.
I thank him. I want to get outta here desperately, but Sarah doesn't seem to want to take off just yet.
Sarah > Have you really travelled all over the world?
Sebastian > Yes, I have. Although I haven't seen it all yet!
Sarah > How amazing it must be to have visited so many different places.
Sebastian > It was.
Sarah > And so, you're really up on all things legends and witchcraft?
Sebastian > I suppose so, given that I am allowed to teach it.
Sarah > And so... this year we're going to be studying witches?
Sebastian > Yes, among other things!
Sarah > What's your take on it going to be? Are we talking folklore and preconceived ideas, or a more down-to-earth approach?
I frown, not quite understanding what she's trying to get at.
> Come on, Sarah, there's nothing down-to-earth about witches. They're just the stuff of myths.
A long silence follows. What is it? What did I say?
Sebastian > We'll be studying it from every angle.
Sarah > And the different types of rituals?
I'm becoming more and more uncomfortable with my friend's questions.
> Sarah... Let's just take it as it comes. We'll see what happens in class...
Sebastian > Your friend's right! We'll have all year to discuss this and I'll make sure I answer all your questions.
> Thank you, Professor. Sarah, shall we go?
She ignores what I say with a wave of her hand. Thanks for that!
Sarah > I love mythical stories. I can't help it...
Really? She never mentioned it... Sebastian briefly clears his throat. I can feel that he's beginning to lose patience with my friend... and maybe me! Damn! I really don't feel like getting a bad rep in the first class!
Sebastian > Okay, girls... This is all very interesting, but I've got to go. If you have any other questions, please write them down and ask them during class...
We nod simultaneously and hurry out of the room. Professor Jones waves goodbye and walks away. I turn quickly to Sarah.
> What the hell was that? Did you have to attack him with all those questions?
Sarah > I wasn't aggressive or anything!
> Seriously? Couldn't you see what you were doing? You behaved like a total weirdo!
Sarah > You're full of crap!
As we leave the building, we continue talking.
> What's with the witch fad? You talk about it like it's real! People will start talking...
