stressful week

it was 5:00a.m. and jethro was up and filled with excitement. "it's going to be my first christmas married to jess, i can't wait." jethro sat in the living room watching a christmas carol. jessica walked into the living room and smiled, it made her happy to see jethro happy. good morning jethro. jethro screamed and ended up falling off of the couch. jess, you scared the heck out of me. i didn't even know you were here in the living room, i thought you were still asleep. i was but i couldn't sleep anymore, this reminds me of when i came to surprise you on our wedding day and you ended up getting scared then as well. jethro laughed, you sure do have a way of surprising me. jessica laughed, i sure do. jessica held out her hand for jethro. jethro grabbed her hand and smiled. i love you jess. i love you too jethro. jethro sat back down on the couch. jessica sat next to him. what's got you up so early jethro? i'm excited for christmas, especially since it will be my first one married to you. i'm excited for that too. are you okay sweetheart? i'm okay, i'm just anxious to see what doctor camden is going to say. you are making great progress jethro, i'm proud of you. thanks jess. jessica got up and went to take a warm shower. after she was done getting ready for the day jessica went back down to the living room. she smiled when she saw jethro. she got a blanket and put it on him so he wouldn't get cold. she decided to let him sleep until it was time for him to get ready for the day. jessica sat in their room and read a christmas carol. she finished reading it when her phone rang. ducky's name flashed across the screen.

good morning jess, i'm sorry if i woke you up.
it's okay, i was already up.
how are y'all?
we are doing great. how are you ducky?
other than stressing out over who shot jethro, i'm doing good.
jethro is concerned about that as well.
one way or another we'll find out who did it.
i tried to reassure him that y'all would eventually get it solved but he is still so very worried about it, wondering if it will ever get solved.
not to worry my dear girl, your husband is one of the strongest people i know.
i know i shouldn't worry ducky, but i do anyway. it hurts me to see him upset.
i know it does sweet girl, jethro works with one hell of a team. we are going to work out hardest to get this solved.
what can i do to help him overcome this?
just be there for him and encourage him, he'll come around eventually jess.

after jessica was done talking to ducky, she went down to the living room. she sat on the edge of the couch. jethro, sweetheart it's time for you to get up. jethro woke up. who was that on the phone sweetheart? it was ducky calling to check in us, and to tell me where he was at in trying to solve the case on who shot you. he also told me that just being there for you and encouraging you were the two things i can do to help you overcome this. thank you for being there for me jess, it means a lot to me. i'd do anything for you sweetheart. jethro got up and got ready for the day. once he was ready he headed to the car with jessica. once they got to doctor camden's they waited in the waiting room until it was their turn. mr.gibbs, mrs.gibbs, doctor camden will see you now, a young nurse with brunette hair said. hello jethro how are you feeling? i'm feeling much better doctor camden. that's good to hear. have you been remembering to take your pain medication as needed? yes ma'am. great, i'll take a look at your wound and then i'll determine what needs to happen next. doctor camden examined jethro's wound, it's looking so much better than the last time i saw you. doctor camden looked at jessica, has he been taking it easy? yes ma'am, i make sure of it. that's good to hear. since your wound is healing really well, you won't have to wear that sling anymore. okay, will i still be needing to take the pain medication you prescribed me? only if you need it, other than that you don't have to take it. thank you doctor camden. your welcome jethro. jessica and jethro walked to the car. jess? yes dear. do you have any lunch plans? no sweetheart i don't. how about the red hen? that sounds great. now i remember what i was going to ask ducky when i was on the phone with him this morning. what was that jess? i was going to ask him if he wanted to go have lunch with us. i'll call him and ask him. thank you jethro. you're welcome jess. jethro dialed ducky's number.

it went really well. i don't have to wear that sling anymore, doctor camden told me to take the pain medication she gave me if i need to, if not i don't have to take it.

as soon as they got to ducky's house, they walked up to the door. jethro rang the door bell. ducky answers the door. it's good to see you two. we're happy to see you ducky. are you ready to go? i'm ready whenever y'all are. when they got to the red hen, they were seated at a table. a young blonde girl came to their table. hi i'm mary, i'll be y'all's waitress today. what can i get y'all to drink? three sweet teas please. okay, i'll be right back. mary came back with their drinks, do you guys need a few minutes to decide on what y'all want? no ma'am, jethro, ducky and jess answered. what can i get you guys? three spinach garganelli's please. i'll be back as soon as it's ready. thank you, jessica,jethro and ducky replied. you're welcome. jethro looked at ducky,how have you been ducky? i'm okay, it's been a stressful week. i hope it gets better for you duck man. thank you jethro. you're welcome ducky. how have you and jess been? we've been really good. thank you for inviting me to have lunch with y'all. you're welcome ducky. mary arrived with their food. thank you,jethro,jessica and ducky replied. you're welcome. after they were finished with their food, they tipped mary and then headed back to ducky's house. thank you again, i had fun. you're welcome ducky. when they got home, jethro went to take a nice warm shower. jessica sat on the bed watching the golden girls. jethro finished his shower, and got ready for bed. jethro sat next to jess. which episode is this? it's the one where blanche rents the mercedes and acts like she owns it, just to get guys attracted to her. jess? yes jethro. thank you for always putting up with me and for helping me, even though you don't have to put up with me. you're welcome jethro, i'll always put up with you, i love you too much not to. after the episode of the golden girls was over, jethro tried to keep his eyes open but he couldn't. good night jess, love you. good night jethro, love you too. jethro and jessica drifted off into a deep sleep, hoping that as the week went on it would get better for everyone.
