Chapter 5: The Beach

"Hey mum, you mind if I go meet my friend." I asked as we pulled into a park in the beach parking lot. the parking lot was so packed that it took us 5 minutes to find a park.

"She's going to meet her boyfriend." Charlie said making kissy lips.

"Oh shut up! would you!" I replied angrily. punching him in the arm.

"Mum, C.C punched me"

"Aghh your such a girl."

"Am not."

"I'm not even going to bother talking to you."

"Yes honey you can go with your friend but just come back every half an hour so we know you haven't been kidnapped and keep your phone on you at all times." Mum finally answered me.

"Ok mum love you." I said leaning into the front seats and kissing both mum and dad lightly on the cheek. Before taking my purse holding my phone a lip gloss and $20.

As I opened the door of the car Charlie started to make more kissing noises I turned around to give him a death glare but he was turned the other way hugging himself and running his hands up and down his back as if he was making out with someone. I let out a frustrated groan and turned on my heel and started to walk down to the beach.

I walked over to the fire pit. it was a long walk and by the time I got to our meeting place my calves were hurting and I was sweating a little. I looked around the fire pit the only people around we're these two men.

"Hey rett girl." the man with the beard slurred obviously drunk. he stood up and walked over to me I backed away, as soon as I knew it I was cornered against a big tree. I closed my eyes scared of what was going to happen next. I felt his hands grip around my waist and pull me close I could smell the stench of alcohol and cigarettes. I started to cough.

"Why you coughing retty girl?" He asked. "you want a kiss?" he said leaning down to kiss me when *wham* he got punched in the face.

I hugged my hero without looking to see who it was but I didn't really care who it was I'm just glad that the drunken man hadn't stolen my first kiss. I pulled back from the embrace that this person smelling deliciously of lynx deodorant, looking up into the beautiful blue eyes of Brody. as soon as I saw it was him I pulled away. and fixed my out fit. I was wearing a pair of ripped, white shorts with a bluish green midriff top with a picture of a tigers in white.

"Hey what were you doing around here?" he asked

"I was waiting for you." I said peed off with him.

"Why are you upset with me!?"
He asked clueless

"Because you told me to come here to meet you then you act like I shouldn't have been here and then ask why I'm upset with you." I screamed

"I'm sorry." he said giving me the most adorable puppy face I've ever seen. "will you forgive me c.c?"

"No!" I said turning my back to him, so his gorgeousness wouldn't effect me"I'm still angry at you."

"C'mon c.c." he said as he wrapped his strong arms around my waist and picked me up off the ground. I screamed and kicked him causing him to fall over onto the sand beneath us. I opened my eyes to find Brody laying on top of me with a cheeky grin on his face. "your so cute." he said. that made me blush. I was getting lost in his beautiful blue eyes and I noticed that his face was edging closer to mine. our noses were so close to touching that if I moved the slightest bit they would be touching. he lingered there his breath fanning my lips. then the thought his me. If we kiss this it will be my first kiss. was he the one I wanted to spend it on? Y.E.A.H!!

I pulled my face closer to his until our lips were almost touching. " haha c.c is going to kiss Brody" oh no he did not i instantly recognised that voice. without thinking I pushed Brody off me and stormed over to Charlie.

"What are you doing here mum said you couldn't come here!" I screeched

"If I can't be here than either can you!"
he said in that smart ass way he always does.

I looked over at Brody who was quite amused at our little sibling rivalry. "he has a point" I said "and plus I have to check in at mum and dad" I looked back but Charlie was gone. I checked my phone that I had dropped when that drunk man tried to kiss me. 3 messages and a missed call. I unlocked my phone and read the messages.

Mum: hey c.c you having fun we have ordered fish and chips if you want some tell Brody he can come and have some too your father ordered a bit too much.

Mum: c.c were are you it's been half an hour!

Mum: is your phone dead?

"Oh man."

"What's wrong?" Brody asked

"Do you feel like fish and chips?"

"Um yeah is that's what's wrong?" he asked with a strange expression.

"No!" I said with a giggle "mum texted me 3 times. dad ordered to much fish and chips so mum offered if you wanted some, c'mon lets go!" he shook his head as if I were crazy but obeyed and followed.

When we got to the spot that mum and dad had set up a little picnic at I introduced mum and dad to Brody.

"Hey mum hey dad this is Brody my friend from school." I introduced

"Oh he's very cute" said mum

"Thank you." said Brody

"MUM" I cried even though I couldn't deny it.

"WHAT." mum said "he is an attractive young man. Brody looked down at me grinning. I just gave him a disapproving glare. And when i thought ego couldn't get any bigger again I was proven wrong.

Dad got up to shake his hand "call me Peter" dad said in a very professional way. Brody took his hand and gave it a good shake.

"Well kids here's your dinner." mum said handing us a large box of fish and chips.

"Thanks mum" I said as we headed off Taking a picnic blanket that they weren't using.

"I know the perfect place to eat." Brody said with an excited face.

"Lead the way" I said falling a step behind so I could follow him we walked for at least 300m along the beach until we got to a little run down hut. all of a sudden Brody climbed on top of the roof and lay down the blanket he was carrying.

"Come on!" he said looking down at me.

I climbed up to were Brody was sitting handing him the fish and chips i case I dropped them. I looked out at the sunset it was gorgeous. once we had finished Brody turned to me staring for a moment then said "can I confess something?"

"Sure" i said

"I think I'm in love" he said then he reached down and kissed me.
