Chapter 5 - The Pairs

JENNIE

"Don't hold the kitten with this dirty hand."

Lisa's voice keeps repeating on my head since yesterday. She saved me from Nancy and I must be thankful for that, but why is she keep calling me kitten? Do I look like a goddamn kitten? What if I'm just really a kitten on her perspectives? Gosh, I don't want to be her pet or plaything. Maybe, I should avoid those Elites from now on, but I still need to thank Lisa.

My head starts to ache now because of too much thinking. I sighed deeply and starts to walk inside the Elite building. I'm about to enter the elevator when someone suddenly pulled me on a vacant room. I'm about to scream but someone suddenly stops me by putting their hands on my mouth. I smell the person behind me and I immediately recognized their expensive perfume. 'Jisoo Kim' the no. 2 of Elite Class.

I'm about to struggle from her hold when a stunning Rosé suddenly appeared in front of me and smiles sweetly. "Good morning, Jennie." She said, then the person behind me removed her hands from my mouth and I can breathe properly again.

"Sorry." Jisoo said blankly then she walked towards Rosé.

"Sorry for the abduction Jennie. Don't worry we will let you go once the class starts." Rosé said then she sits on the couch and Jisoo followed her.

I'm so surprised on what they did to me. Gosh, these Elites are so weird. I'm still frozen on my place when Rosé suddenly speaks.

"Come and sit as well Jennie. Let's talk about what you saw yesterday." She said with a calming voice.

"Yesterday?" I asked with furrowed brows.

"Yesterday in the convenience store. Our unexpected encounter." Rosé said and crossed her arms on her chest. My eyes widened on what she said, I almost forgot about it.

I sat on the couch in front of them and looks at the two of them intently.

"I never told anyone about it and I'm not planning to tell it to anyone as well." I said to them. I'm about to stand up when Rosé suddenly speaks.

"Jennie wait. That's it?" Rosé said with furrowed brows while Jisoo is looking at me intently.

"What do you mean by that's it?" I asked curiously. Rosé is about speaking but Jisoo speak first.

"Are you not going to ask for anything in exchange that you will not tell it to anyone?" Jisoo said with her famous blank expression. My brows furrowed on what she said.

"Do you think I will demand on you guys?" I asked anxiously. I'm starting to get angry now, what do they think of me?

"Oh no Jennie, please don't be mad on us. We are just surprised. We can't believe that you are unlike them." Rosé said. She stand up on her seat and suddenly sits beside me. "Well, some people here in the Elite building sometimes recognized us outside when we sneak out, so for them not to report us we usually bribed them." Rosé explained.

"I'm not like them. I don't need your money or anything from you." I said to them. Rosé smiles at me while Jisoo is still looking intently at me. "Besides I'm your classmate, and we are friends." I told them that widened their eyes.

"Friends?" Jisoo asked. Oh my! Why can't I control this tongue of mine? I forgot that we just met recently. They are so nice to me that I considered them as friends in a short time, but maybe they are not the same as me. Rosé looks at Jisoo then to me, she smiles at me then she held my hand.

"Friends." Rosé said and nodded her head. "If that's what you called that, then we are your friends." She said to me.

"Uhm can I ask something?" I said when she let go of my hand.
