Chapter 25 - The Good Combination

JENNIE

"Jennie, Jennie." I've been woken up by that soothing voice that is calling my name.

I slowly open my eyes and there I saw Lisa standing at the edge of the bed looking intently at me. She's already wearing our Elite uniform.

"L-lisa." Is she okay now? She looks like the Lisa that I used to know. "Ouch." I accidentally push my injured hand on the bed when I try to sit.

"Are you okay?" Lisa immediately sits beside me and about holding my hand when I hide it behind my back.

"I-i'm fine." I said but she looks at me with furrowed brows.

"I will call our family doctor to check on your wound. You don't have to go to scho- "

"I'm really fine Lisa. It's just a small wound besides I can't afford another absent at school. Today is the start of the examination week." I explained to her. She looks at me for a few seconds then she nodded her head and stand. "H-how bout you Lisa? Are you feeling okay now?" I asked worriedly but she didn't answer me. Instead, she walked towards the door.

"Get ready now Jennie if you don't want to be late again." She said and about leaving but she stop suddenly. "By the way I want you to meet CL after class. You need more clothes." She said and left me dumbfounded.

"Who the hell is CL?" I said and scratched my head.

Hours Later .
In the Cafeteria.
Breaktime

"Rosé do you think they will kick me out in the Elite program if I fail in one of our subjects? I think I messed up my essay in our History examination." I asked the blonde in front of me who is busy munching her Caesar salad.

"Stop worrying about those things Jennie." Jisoo answered me instead, then she lean towards me and speak again in a lower voice. "Don't worry, I will not let them kick you out cos you know more about us now." She said seriously that made me gulp and scared.

"Don't scare her Chu." Rosé immediately nudge Jisoo, but the latter ignores her. I learned that Rosé usually called Jisoo, Chu when they are with other people and Jisoo called her, Rosie like Lisa. "Don't mind her Jennie." Rosé said to me with a smile. "How's Lisa this morning Jennie?" She sadly asked. Her lonely eyes makes me remembered Lisa's story.

"I guess s-she's back to her usual self this morning." I said that made the both look at me.

"Trust me she's not." Jisoo said to Rosé and drink her vanilla smoothie. "She's hiding in her dungeon again." She said.
