Chapter 31 - The Talk

JENNIE

"I-it's not the same. I cannot be with her anymore." Lisa said with trembling voice and suddenly hugs me tight that surprised me.

"What are you saying Lisa?" I asked her worriedly.

"Unnie." She mumbled, but I slowly pushed her body away from me and look at her face.

"Tell everything to me later, Lisa. Let's go to my bedroom first. You need to change your clothes, you might catch a cold again." I said. I didn't wait for her answer, instead I grabbed her trembling hand to go upstairs to my room.

I'm glad that my family is already asleep now, especially Ella. For sure, she will bombard us a lot of questions if she's here.

A few minutes later.

The storm became strong. I could hear the strong wind and heavy rain outside. It's dark in my room cos I'm only using the flashlight on my phone because I let Lisa use the rechargeable light inside my en suite bathroom. She is now taking a bath.

I'm about playing a game in my phone when it suddenly became low-batt and died. The room became totally dark.

"Damn." I muttered to myself. I couldn't even see a thing now. How long Lisa will be there in the bathroom? Damn, I'm starting to feel uneasy. I hugged my knees on my bed and closed my eyes tightly.

"Please get out of the bathroom Lisa." I mumbled to myself.

"Jennie, are you okay?" Lisa suddenly asked and held my head that startled me. I immediately open my eyes when I felt her cold hand. She is now wearing my white v-neck shirt and baby blue boxer shorts. I didn't hear that she got out of the bathroom because of the heavy rain outside.

"I-i'm fine." I said nervously. She nodded her head, then she put the rechargeable light on my bedside table before she sits beside me on the bed. I noticed her wet hair, and I unconsciously touched it.

"Do you want me to dry your hair?" I asked. She looked at me for a few seconds before she nodded her head. I took a towel in my small wardrobe and get back on the bed. I get on my knees and hold Lisa's wet hair. They are so soft and I could smell my strawberry shampoo on her.

"How do you get here Lisa?" I asked, then I start drying her hair.

"I took a cab." She said.

"You came here alone?" I asked and she nodded her head again.

"I sneaked out." She said that made me stop on what I'm doing.

"You sneaked out!" I said with a surprise face. "Where do you get the money to pay the cab?" I asked cos I know that Lisa never bring cash with her.

"I gave my wrist watch to him."

"What?! Is that one from your precious watch collections?" I asked and she nodded her head. 

"My gosh Lisa. Do you remember his plate number?" I asked anxiously, but she only shook her head. Damn, she made that cab driver an instant millionaire. I remembered Rosé once told me that each of Lisa's wrist watch cost millions of dollars because they are limited editions.

"I just hailed that cab. Don't worry about it. Its fine Jennie." She said like it's nothing to her.

"B-but that wrist watch costs a fortune Lisa." I said worriedly.

"It's fine. It only costs 2 mill- " She is  still speaking when I cut her off.

"Stop Lisa." I said and she immediately looks at me. "I don't want to hear it." I said and sighed. I'm about drying her hair again when she suddenly holds my hand.
