December 2010- Holmes Chapel

This is way more fluff than smut, but it made me so happy to write, so enjoy. I'll write their first time (in early 2011) later on.

Harry hadn't heard from Louis all day, and was pretty sad. He knew it was Louis' birthday, and he was probably celebrating with his family and friends and stuff. People he hadn't seen in months. He'd spent every day for the last five months attached to Harry by the hip.

Harry had been excited to be back at home too. He missed his mom and Robin and Gemma. But after a day with them, he missed Louis more. It was already eight; would Louis call him? Harry had messaged him already about ten times, ranging from 'happy birthday!!' to 'wish i was sucking you off rn'. Louis hadn't responded.

They had already eaten a delicious warm Christmas dinner, and some of Harry's friends from primary school had visited. Harry had even done a short twitcam for fans, and showed them the present he had gotten for Louis. All Harry could think about was Louis.

Harry was tired and sad. Gemma called him to watch a movie, so Harry curled up next to her to rewatch Elf. It was a mandatory family movie on Christmas. Anne and Robin joined them, laughing along with Will Ferrell. Harry fleetingly wondered if Louis had seen Elf. He kept his phone in the band of his trousers on vibrate, so he could excuse himself if Louis called. Louis didn't.

Instead, Harry got caught up in the movie, and was crying along with Anne when Buddy and Jovie saved Christmas. It was ten when the movie was finally over, and Harry swallowed his pride and decided to ring Louis.

He sat on the bed in his room, playing with a loose thread in his sheet as the phone rang. Again and again. Louis didn't pick up. Harry felt tears prickling in the back of his eyes, but he told himself it was just from the movie and being exhausted, not that Louis didn't answer him. Louis was busy. It was his birthday. He would talk to Harry when he wasn't busy. Harry curled up in his warm bed and fell asleep.

He woke up the next morning and grabbed his phone to see if Louis had messaged him back. He hadn't. Harry frowned. Even after he was done partying and was going to sleep for the evening, he hadn't thought to respond to Harry? Did he care? Did he even like Harry? Had he rolled his eyes at Harry's messages and swiped them away? Had he thought 'ugh why is he so needy?'

Harry went downstairs to the Christmas tree. Gemma was there, unwrapping presents and Harry went to join her. Anne popped out of the kitchen with fresh cinnamon rolls, and left to bring back a very sleepy Robin. The four of them opened presents, ate warm cinnamon rolls, and laughed together. Harry should be happy. So why did he feel like something was missing?

Louis didn't text him for the whole morning, and by one Harry had decided Louis didn't like him anymore. Gemma caught him in the kitchen with his face in his hands and poked him.

"What has you down?" she asked. Then she lowered her voice. "Is it that pretty boy? You like him, don't you?"

His family and Louis' family had met a couple times, when they would come to big performances of the boys'. Before they had lost X Factor. Gemma probably knew Louis' name, too. But Harry hadn't told anyone about what was happening with him and Louis.

He wasn't even sure what was happening, to be honest. Louis was giggly and sweet around Harry, and they kissed and got each other off every once in a while. Harry had whispered into the dark of the room one night that he really liked Louis, and Louis had kissed him as a response. They fell into each other's arms and sobbed dramatically when they realized they would be separated for Christmas, making the rest of the boys roll their eyes.
