Ben's P.O.V:
When I think about the day the Grease Garage burnt down, I think about how Walker emerged from the smoke. Just after that, Ronnie had appeared behind me. I couldn't help wondering if that was a coincidence. After awhile I was convinced that she was an Angel.

When I got to journaling I was so relieved. It was my last period of the day so I was pretty excited to get home especially since it was Friday. "Hey you forgot something at my house." I turned to see Walker hand me my laptop and sit at the desk next to me. "Didn't even realize it was gone. Thank you." I said, sighing with relief. When it was finally time for our presentation I got a bit nervous but swallowed it down. "The assignment is already pulled up." I told my teacher as she connected it to the projector. When I turned around my eyes widened. The page was completely blank! I urged the teacher to search through the files before looking through them myself. It was both humiliating and stressful but the teacher put me out of my misery by saying "it's alright. I'm feeling compassionate so I'll give you both a C until you can find the project." I sank into my chair as I felt my face grow hot. I was so frustrated I mean how could a file just disappear into thin air like that! Walker reached over, placing her hand gently on my bicep. "It's alright we'll find it try not to worry." She said with a sympathetic smile as she rubbed her thumb in a circle on my skin. "Do you wanna come to dinner with Ronnie and I?" I asked staring nervously down at her hand on my arm. I just needed a nice, normal night out with friends. "Sure that sounds great." She said giving my arm a squeeze.
I had to go home first to change my clothes and let my mom know where I would be. Walker decided to tag along with me so we could walk to dinner together. My mom looked up from the couch and jumped a little when she saw Walker. "Ben you didn't tell me you had such a pretty friend coming over!" She squealed shaking Walker's hand. "What do you mean? Ronnie isn't with me today." I said jokingly while I chuckled. "Haha you're hilarious." My mom said rolling her eyes at me. "We're going to dinner at Earl's with Ronnie tonight, you want anything?" I called from my bedroom as I threw a shirt on over my head. "No that's alright you kids have fun!" She said uncontrollably smiling at Walker and I as we walked to the front door. "It was so nice to meet you!" Walker called waving as we walked outside. "Your mom is so sweet" she had a big grin on her face as she looked at her feet. "Yeah she's alright I guess." I said laughing and shaking my head. If only she knew her like I do.
______
When we got to Earl's Ronnie was already seated and already started on a rib bucket. When he saw us he waved us over with a huge smile on his barbecue covered face. Ronnie ended up scarfing down at least five whole buckets while I just ate a chicken burger. Walker didn't eat anything.
"Why aren't you eating darlin'?" Ronnie asked with his mouth full of rib meat. "I'm not very hungry. I don't usually eat a lot." She said with a content smile. "Yeah I assumed that." He said looking her up and down before focusing back on his bucket. "Here" I said handing Walker a fry. She smiled and took it. "I see you dyed your hair again." Ronnie said focusing his attention to Walker's head. "Yeah. My roots keep growing in. It's a lot of work when you want to be blonde." She said resting her chin on her palm. "I think you're pretty no matter what" I said completely avoiding eye contact at all costs. "Awe Ace! That's sweet. Thank you!" She exclaimed with a big smile. Or at least I imagined she was smiling, I wouldn't know, I had my eyes locked on my plate in embarrassment. When I finally did look up Ronnie was giggling at me and raising his brows up and down. I rolled my eyes but laughed along. "I have to go. But this has been really great I'll see you guys later." Walker said rushing out of the restaurant. "She's in a hurry." Ronnie said without looking up from the rib in his hand. I shrugged. While she was walking away I noticed something strange about the right side of her head. As she passed me I saw that the skin around her hairline was red and looked like it was being pulled a little. I also saw a small piece of a tan, net-like fabric.
Was Walker wearing a wig?
