Morgan's PoV
I yawned and rested my head against the wall of the RV. We had been in here since last night and I hadn't been able to sleep. Or move for that matter. Carl was asleep blocking the exit to the seats. Sophia was asleep too, she was lay down across from us. Eliza and Louis were in their tent.
"Morning kid." I heard a gruff voice say, I looked over to see Daryl coming into the RV, he went rummaging through the kitchen cupboards.
"Morgan. My names Morgan. And can you please help me out?"
"Sure thing, kid." He smirked and I glared at him. He chuckled and came up behind the seat, he put his hands under my arms and picked me up, lifting me over Carl's head and placing me down.
"Thank you Mr Dixon." I smiled.
"Call me Daryl." He said.
"Sure thing, Mr Dixon." I smiled before skipping out of the RV and over to Mom. She didn't look like she had slept last night. "Morgan? What're you doing out here? I don't want you to see the bodies."
"I'm fine mama." I told her climbing up onto the seat next to her I cuddled into her side and closed my eyes, "Are we going to die?" I whispered.
"What? No! I would never let anything happen to you, or Carl." She kissed my head and hugged me. I must've ended up falling asleep because the next thing I know is Dad is shaking me awake and I have someone's jacket over me.
"What's wrong Dad?" I grumbled rubbing my eyes as I sat up. "Go grab your things, we're leaving for the CDC in a while." He told me running a hand through my hair. "What's the CDC?" I questioned.
"A place where hopefully we will get answers. And they might be able to help Jim."
"What's wrong with Jim?" I asked.
"He got bit." He told me, "Oh." I said looking down. "Well you better go give this coat back to Daryl, and get your things from the tent. We'll be in Carols car bring your things there." He kisses my forehead and I nodded jumping up and skipping over to Daryl's tent. "Daryl?" I asked.
"Yeah? Who is it?" I heard him ask.
"It's Morgan." I informed the man, I stepped inside once he told me to and held out the coat. "Nah, you can keep it." He told me.
"But is really big on me?" I tilted my head and opened up the coat, putting it on and showing him, "See." The sleeves covered my hands and the coat fell down to my knees.
"You'll grow into it." He chuckled, "Now Gowan, you better pack your things. We're goin soon." He shooed me away and I nodded, saying goodbye before I left the tent going to ours.
The cots were already gone and the only things left inside were my things and some of moms. I shuffled over and grabbed the backpack leaving it in my hand before I ran out to the cars. "Now Morgan, your gonna have to sit in the trunk. You'll have to behave, this is big girl responsibilities." Dad said opening the door to the trunk. I nodded and climbed into the trunk. Spacious. I threw my bag in and smiled.
"Daryl let you keep the coat?" Dad asked confused. I nodded and smiled happily, "He says I'll grow into it." My dad smiled and nodded, he picked up a few bags from the ground and put them on the roof with the others.
"Come on, we've gotta say goodbye." He held out his hand and I took it. Who are we saying goodbye to? No, the important question here is: how long was I asleep?
Sophia and Carl were in tears, so were Eliza and Louis. Sophia and Eliza hugged and she gave Sophia her doll. Wait. Why aren't they coming to the good place with us?
