Part 49: Acrophobia

(So I just added something new to this story. There will not only be zombies and mobs, but there will also be a lot of scary monsters. All sizes, and they will be added into this. Not all of them are demons, most of them are wild monsters, with different habitats)

"Techno! I don't think I can run any longer!" Dream panted, while Techno held his hand and ran.

"You've got to keep going! There are monsters are this forest, we need to escape." Techno said, stopping.

Dream let go of his hand and panted, putting his hands on his knees.

"We've been running for so long. I need to rest." Dream said.

"You're a speed runner. How did you run out of breath faster than me?" Techno said.

"Ha.." Dream didn't answer.

"Come on!" Techno grabbed his hand and continued running.

"Ah!" Dream yelped, continuing to run with Techno.

Techno gasped.

"That thing is killing things." Techno said.

There was a giant plant monster eating something that seemed to be a human leg. It had a lot of long green roots everywhere.

"We have to go!" Techno pulled Dream away from the monster.

There was a huge crunching sound of leaves breaking.

"Come on!" Techno said.

"It's a dead end, Techno!" Dream said.

There was a cliff ahead of them. There was a lot of tree roots around everywhere.

"We have to jump." Techno said, running at the cliff.

"Techno! We can't!-"

Techno held Dream and jumped off, grabbing a hanging tree root.

"Urgh!" Dream held onto Techno, his eyes shut.

"Dream, whatever you do, do not look down." Techno said.

"W..Why..?" Dream said, opening his eyes.

He looked down, seeing a giant pit of death. There were creatures down there, scurrying everywhere. It looked like a 200 feet hole.

There was a chirping noise. The plant monster was right above them, its roots moving around.

"Don't. Move. It's cannot see nor hear you. It detects movement with its antennae." Techno said.

"Techno, I'm scared!" Dream gripped onto Techno.

"Don't move. You'll get us caught." Techno said.

The roots were moving all around, going over the cliff.

"Mmm.." Dream whimpered.

"Dream." Techno chuckled out, quietly.

That sound was cute to Techno, but he needs to focus, because the roots were moving closer to them.

The roots stopped, and retracted.

The plant monsters's chirping got quieter and quieter, until it disappeared.

"Phew. It's gone." Techno said, after a while.

"AHH! TECHNO SAVE ME!!" Dream squeezed Techno's his arms around his neck.

"Guh! You're choking me!" Techno said.

"Techy!" Dream whined.

"Don't worry, you baby, I'll make sure you're safe. I'm not letting you drop into that pit under us." Techno said.
