Part 10: Ceremony

(The ceremony might be awkward since the crown part is mostly quiet XD)

It was quite crowded. Everyone from the village is in the castle, standing there.

They were waiting.

Prince Technoblade has arrived and stepped up on the stairs. His parents stood on either side of the microphone in the back. Swordtail was next to his father, while his younger brother held his mother's hand.

This must be how promotions are done. Dream thought.

He was watching, next to Bad, with Sapnap and George nearby. The Sleepy Bois were somewhere near them.

I feel awkward, I feel awkward, I feel awkward. It's so weird without anyone talking. Technoblade bit his tongue to stop his thoughts.

Bodyguard Ponk turned to Techno, holding a red pillow with gold tinsel's on it.

Technoblade hesitated for a moment. He took off his crown and placed it on the pillow.

Ponk bowed and walked away.

"Your Majesty." He gently said to Technoblade's father, walking past, and standing to the side, holding the pillow still.

Oh god here it comes. Techno felt panic emerge in his body.

Technoblade's father stepped forward.

A few people behind Dream murmured as he looked at Bad. Bad's ear twitched towards any sounds as he focused on the Royal Family.

He seems to keep his guard up and listening to the surroundings while we're here. Literally the entire kingdom is in here. His ears must really be sensitive then.. Dream never doubted Bad's senses. Even though Bad has sensitive feelings, he liked him the most out of the friend group.

"Congratulations, son." His father whispered.

He took off his own crown, held it between them for a few seconds, then finally put it up, and set it on Technoblade's head.

He put his hand on Techno's back and they both faced the audience.

His father spoke into the mic. It was louder than he thought.

"I now pronounce to you, King Technoblade of Pogtopia!" His low voice echoed a slight.

The crowed cheered and clapped.

Dream swore he heard Tommy's voice.

"YEAH BIG MAN!!"

Bad's ears went down, due to the noises. He held one hand in his ear, but he still smiled.

"You okay?" He put a hand on Bad's shoulder.

"Yeah, just a bit loud." He said..

"Now your speech, son. It doesn't have to be long." His father spoke near his ear, he then backed away next to Swordtail.

Oh shit, a speech? I didn't know I had to do a speech. There's so many people staring.. He put a hand on the mic.

Just think of something real quick. Uhm..

"Uh- Thank you all for coming to this ceremony.. I hope we.. hang onto this together."

I need a bit more..

"I promise to you all, that I will keep you protected. The Empire has had plans. Keep your eyes out for wanted posters." The crowd murmured a bit.

"Don't you all worry, as king of Pogtopia, we will win this war, no matter the losses.. that is.. all."

The crowd cheered and clapped.

Techno cringed at his words. That must be the most uncomfortable moment of his life.

His father walked up and spoke into the mic.

"This ceremony is excused. You may all leave now." The crowed clapped a bit more as people left the entrance castle.

It took at least 5 minutes for everyone to leave the castle.

Technoblade sighed.

Dream stared at him.

He doesn't seem like he's ready.

A hand was placed on his shoulder.

"Come on, Dream. Let's go." Sapnap said. Bad and George were already leaving.

"Yeah, yeah. I'm coming." Dream looked at Technoblade, who was facing his family, and started walking out.

"Such a speech, Princey~" Dream flirtatiously said.

"Shut up. I didn't even know I was supposed to say a speech." He blushed, embarrassed.

"Mhm~" Dream slowly frowned.

He leaned over and put his hand on Techno's shoulder, his head near Techno's.

"Hey. Are you sure you're ready? You looked almost as if you were panicking." Dream said. "Isn't being King simple stuff? I didn't think you'd get so worked up."

Techno gently nudged Dream's hand off his shoulder.

"Being king isn't as easy as you think. It all relies on your leadership skills, socialization, and battle. I easily nail number 1 and 3, but I'm not a very sociable person. My stomach turns when I even think about it." Techno rested his head on his fist.

"It'll get easier when you start talking to others more. Trust me." He pat Techno's shoulder.

"Do me a favor and promise me you'll stay alive during this war." Dream said.

"No." He grabbed Dream's wrists. "I'm the Blood God. You promise me you'll stay alive." They we're so close their masks almost touched.

"I.. I'm not sure I can..Majesty.." Dream said.

"Exactly, so stop flirting and just tell me you'll survive." He rubbed Dream's head.

He moved Dream's mask to the side of his face.

"I'm a manhunt person, I know how to survive." He had a soft expression and stared at him. He had his hands on Techno's chest.

Their lips grazed each other's when suddenly-

"Hey Dream I wanna ask you-" George came into the room and saw them. They just stared back.

"Um.. never mind t-then.." George walked out of the room.

Why did he sound so hurt? Why did his face go from normal to upset? Is he jealous? Dream thought.

"Well, that's about the second time someone walked in on us." Techno said.

"Well, I better go get ready anyways." He gave Techno a quick smooch on the cheek. "I'm going on a walk with Bad. We were told that there's been a type of crime on a certain street."

"Shouldn't I come with-?"

"No, you're a King now, let Bad and I do this. And, we're strong when we fight together." He blew a kiss to Techno and walked out.

989 words. Wow, are Techno and Dream just gonna get together like that? Well I think it's an interesting way to get together. Anyways, the next chapter will be Dream and Bad. I hope you guys enjoy this chapter. I hope you guys enjoy the next ones soon, my enderbros!
