Part 56: Heat Day

-A few months ago-

It was a hot day.

Everyone was either eating a popsicle or drinking cold water.

"There seems to be a lot going on right now." Dream said.

"I might have a lot of explaining to do. About the Underworld, I mean." Darryl said.

Tommy and Tubbo walked up to the two.

-This was when the others were still alive, if you were confused-

Tubbo was almost done with his popsicle and Tommy kinda sucked on his, while Tubbo held his popsicle.

"I mean, I've met some of my family, like Papa." Darryl said.

Tommy grabbed Tubbo's hand and tugged on it, taking the popsicle out of his mouth.

"Eh, who?" Tommy asked, pushing Tubbo's arm up to put the popsicle back into his mouth.

"Papa? The Lord? I think I forgot to tell some of you." Darryl said.

"Wow, it must be hard being related to The Lord of hell." George said, sitting one foot too close to Dream.

Techno saw George and grit his teeth. He slid his hand across Dream's back and onto his waist.

He leaned Dream into himself, rubbing his side. Dream looked at him with a confused face, but shrugged it off and rested his head on Techno's shoulder.

George lost the small smile he had, not looking at the two.

"So, The Lord is my grandfather, he's actually not as bad I expected him to be, but he's still really mean sometimes-" His voice faded away.

Tubbo was tuning out Darryl with his mind, squinting his eyes, kinda pissed off. Darryl kept ranting about his family, but Tubbo ignored it because it was all muffled.

"Tommy. Hold your own popsicle." Tubbo said, as Tommy sucked on the popsicle, his eyes closed.

"Mm?" Tommy bit off a piece and chewed on it.

"Hold it. Yourself." Tubbo growled.

"No." Tommy stick the popsicle back in his mouth.

"..and I've been told I have other family members, but I haven't met them. I wish I could meet my parents, though." Darryl looked down.

Dream just finished his popsicle.

"I imagine this popsicle being your.." Dream muttered something that Techno didn't really catch.

"What's that?" Techno said, looking down at him.

"Nothing~" Dream awkwardly smiled.

Wilbur just sat there, his eyes closed and resting.

Sapnap drank his water.

"What's in it for this hideout?" Skeppy asked, sitting against Darryl.

"We're sitting in here until backup arrives. We need to stay hidden because this area is tainted with giant monsters and critters, that we can't encounter." Techno said, as distant thumps and roars sounded.

Rocks fell from the ceiling.

"We're safe, in this small cave? How are we so sure that it won't collapse?" Skeppy said.

"We aren't. It was filled with all kinds of creatures when we found this." Techno said.

"ARE THEY STI-"
