Noyas pov

*Dreaming*

Waking up finding out that Asahi wasn't next to me. I get up and started looking around

"Shit, shit, shit, shit." I say in a panicked tone.

I go into town looking for him. I hear a yell and look to see a hoard of zombies. I see Asahi getting dragged by one. Another one grabs his arm and rips it off, gaining a yell of agony from Asahi. I stared in horror as I see him getting torn apart. I try running to save him, but my legs wouldn't move.

"ASAHI!" I cry, yelling his name.

I reach out for him, only for him to be dragged away, leaving a blood trail. I fell to my knees, crying.

"Noya!" I heard a voice.

"Noya! Wake up! Its just a dream!" I wake up to Asahi shaking me.

I felt tears stained on my face and I was breathing heavily. I looked around, shaking slightly.

"I'm sorry..." I mumbled.

"Noya don't be sorry. Its okay. Just breathe. I have you." He hugged me tight.

I froze, then wrapped my arms around him, grabbing tha back of his shirt tightly. "Thats why I dont sleep." I said into his shirt. "My nightmares are usually about losing you."

We pulled apart. "You'll never lose me. We can protect each other." Asahi smiled.

I nodded and smiled. "Okay. Let's get going."

We got up and gathered our things together. I put my backpack on and carried the small box of food to the bike and put it on the basket. Putting my knife in my pocket and shoving my pipe in my backpack.

We got on our bikes and started heading in the direction Asahi said the others were. Riding on a small road, away from danger and the sound of the wind flowing. I wondered what happened to the birds. I look up at the sky, not a bird in sight. Did they migrate? Die?

We rode in a comfortable silence. Enjoying the air and the wind against our faces. I rode a little bit ahead of Asahi, going slightly faster. I balanced myself on the bike, then letting my arms out.

"WOOO-HOOO!!" I yelled, smiling.

I looked back at Asahi, he had a worried look on his face. He gave me a reassuring smile as he watched me.

"Come on Asahi! Have a little bit of fun." I laughed.

"No.. I don't think ill do that. I'll probably topple over." he laughed nervously.

"Wow, such a buzz kill. At least yell. Let it all out!" I smile.

"Uhm, okay." He hesitated.

I turned my head, waiting for him to yell. A few minutes later, I hear a soft yell behind me. I looked back at him.

"Thats all you got? Come on, you could do better!" I exclaimed.

"Heh, no thanks." He shook his head.

"Agh okay then." I turn my head back around.

We continued riding, taking quick breaks to drink and have little snacks. Every now and then having conversations. We make it to a small area with a few houses there. We stop at a house and went inside to see if there was anything we needed.
