Five

I got so busy the whole second semester. Charry and I went to the same company kung saan kami unang magi-internship.

The head of the finance department was with us. May dalawa din kaming kasamang kakaklase.

"And this is your senior, siya ang magsasabi ng gagawin niyo." Sabi ng head.

Nagpakilala ang senior naming at bri-nief kami.

The first day was fine. Wala pang work. We were provided with great experience of work. Iyon ang maganda sa internship. Magagamit din kapag mag-aapply na ng work in the future.

Charry and I almost went to the same company to company, sa last lang na hindi dahil gusto niya ay sa business naman nila.

I sighed looking up the tall building of Villarojo group of hotels, ito ang main office dito sa pilipinas. I've had work with one of their subsidiary company pero nakakakaba kapag ang parent company na ang pupuntahan.

I don't even know why I'm nervous that Rhyno will be here. Of course he is here!

"Good morning, Ms. Joverly Fausea Dizon." A woman in a corporate attire approached me.

She is very formal. Well, the corners and the structure of the building speaks elegeance and power. The employee should too.

"Maraming nagpunta ditong student from the same university as yours, but sadly, only few passed. You are one of the few lucky students who impressed the supervisors."

Napangiti ako sa kanyang sinabi.

Nilibot niya ako sa department kung saan ako maa-assign. The employees were very busy. May bumabati sakanyang ilang empleyado. I felt nervous, it was like there is no room for imperfections here.

"How was your internship so far?" Mommy asked one time when they got home.

"It was tiring but I get to have the experience. I'm totally fine, mom."

Ngumiti siya, she caressed my cheeks. "My baby girl is really growing up too fast."

Kinabukasan ay na-traffic ako. late kasi akong gumising sa kadahilanang sinundo ko pa si Kuya sa isang bar. He's wasted and Lewis only called na hindi na niya kayang magdrive.

I don't want my parents to get mad, kararating lang nila from Ilocos tapos sakit ng ulo na naman ang p-problemahin nila. Kaya ako ang sumundo kay Alfaust.

"Wait!" pigil ko sa papasarang elevator. The other one is full, ayaw kong makipagsiksikan.

I didn't mind if I lost my poise running to catch the elevator, I am already twenty minutes late!

Hinarang ko ang aking kamay sa pintuan. I heaved a sigh when it opened.

My eyes immediately widened when I saw the people inside. Tatlo lang sila. Isang matanda, isang nakabodyguard suit, at .......si Rhyno.

Tumaas ang kilay niya at pinasadahan ako ng tingin mula ulo hanggang paa.

"Miss, this is an exclusive elevator for the President and stockholders only."

I gasped. Hindi na ako makalabas pa dahil kanina pa sumara ang elevator.

"Don't mind, Zac. Anong floor ka, hija?" tanong ng matanda at ngumiti sa akin.

Nag-init ang aking mukha sa hiya.

"Sa fourteenth floor, s-sir."

Inangat niya ang kaniyang tungkod at ito na mismo ang pumindot.

"Make yourself comfortable." He politely said again. My hawig sila ni Rhyno, lolo niya kaya?

Napatingin ako kay Rhyno na hindi matanggal ang tingin sa akin. Tipid akong ngumiti at humarap na sa pinto.
