Chapter 30

Ramdam ko ang panginginig ng aking mga kamay nang mag-land ang eroplano.

Kuya held my hand. "Stick to the goal, Verly. Mauuna na ako. A friend will fetch you."

Tumango ako. Alfaust blended with the passengers. Nang hindi ko na ito mahagip ay tumayo na ako akay ang handbag.

While waiting for my bags ay hindi ko maiwasang lumingon-lingon. Shit!

Coming back is not a good idea, nanginginig ako sa takot. What if matunugan ako ng mga tauhan ng mga Ponferrada at Villarojo? I will surely spent my life in the prison or else, ipapatay ako.

Thinking about it made me shiver in fear again. I can't die. My children still needs me.

A foreigner tried to talk to me ngunit lumayo ako. When I went out of the airport ay agad kong nahagip ang lalakeng nakahawak ng cardboard na may pangalan ko.

"Verly Lorenzo, welcome back wife." He grinned and removed his cap.

Napakunot ang aking noo dahil pamilyar ito. And what? Wife? Kuya didn't inform me about this.

"What are you talking about?"

Iginala niya ang mata sa paligid bago muling dumapo sa akin. "Come, let's talk in the car."

Kinabahan ako dahil doon. We went inside a Land Cruiser. Napataas ang kilay ko, common high-profiled politician cars.

Hinintay kong mailagay niya ang gamit sa likod bago kami sabay pumasok sa loob.

"Who are you?" I asked as we leave the vicinity of the airport.

"Wow. You really don't remember me." aniya.

"Sino ka?"

He flashed a grin bago tumingin muli sa harapan. "I'm Trevor Lorenzo. The son of the former Mayor of Pagudpud."

I frowned but later on my eyes widened in shocked. Siya 'yon?!

He chuckled when he saw my reaction. I didn't know that Trevor Lorenzo really existed. And he happens to be the asshole Trevor that I once met in a fiesta here in Ilocos years ago!

"Shock, huh?" he chuckled. "Don't worry, I insisted that you use my wife's name."

Napalunok ako. "W-why? Where is she?"

Nawala ang ngiti nito. "Dead."

I let a sharp gasp. "I-I'm sorry."

"No one knows that she died that's why I'm letting you use her name for your advantage and so is mine." Aniya, then he flashed a grin. "So, tell me about our kids."

I mentally face-palmed.

"As far as I can remember, you were not registered as their father." Alinlangan kong sagot. Napahalakhak ito.

He shrugged. "K dot. Willing ko naman silang akuin." I rolled my eyes.

Pinasadahan niya ako ng tingin mula ulo hanggang paa. "Nice tan, by the way. I remembered you as pale white and a brunette. I almost didn't recognize you kung hindi ka pa lumapit."

Napangiti ako at inayos ang makapal na salamin. "For disguise."

He flashed his grinned. "Damn, I didn't know that I have a hottie wife across the pacific."

Naiiling ako sa kaniyang kalokohan. Although I already have three kids, I managed to maintain my hourglass curve. Probably, it's in the genes, hindi naman ako nagwowork out. My exercise is working.

Trevor stopped by a Bali vibe hotel.

Java Hotel.

"Let's stay here. Sa Fort Ilocandia gaganapin ang engagement. The guests are there but we could not gamble the possibility kaya dito tayo. As for Bellamy, Faust is trying to locate him."
