in love with a dragon (dragon!kokichi x shuichi)

I opened the fridge and saw that it was completely empty. Kokichi must've gotten hungry during the night again. From what I've learned Dragons are hunters not scavengers so when he eats something he doesn't like he immediately throws it away. I keep trying to tell him that he doesn't need to do that and he tries to stop but it's his dragon instincts. I sighed and looked at the dragon on the couch taking a nap. He doesn't like being left alone but....it'll only be a minute.

I opened the front door and immediately felt arms and a tail wrap around my waist. "Where are you going?" He asked "kokichi" I began as I freed myself from his grip and lightly pushed him into his knees "I want you to stay here okay? I'll be back in a minute" He let out an audible wimper as I pet him on the head gently "come back quickly okay?" "Okay"

I walked to the counter and put down the mountains of raw meat for kokichi and other things for me. It turns out I was one dollar short....im going to have to put all of this back "here" A girl with short, blondish pinkish hair, a tight pink dress and a green jacket said as she handed me a dollar bill "that's the last dollar you need right?" I nodded "um....y-yeah thank you" I used the dollar to pay for food then I left the store. The girl followed me "um hey my name is chiaki nanami what's yours?" "Shuichi saihara" "Okay shuichi, don't worry I don't want you to pay me back or anything....do you have any pets?" I thought to myself "sort of? I have a pet dragon" She giggled "sounds like fun"

I didn't realize I had walked all the way home until I ran into my door it seems like chiaki didn't notice either "you told me you have a PlayStation right? Can we play together?" "Oh um yeah sure!" I opened the door to see kokichi waiting in the same position I left him in "Shuichi!- WORM" I jumped at his sudden change in emotion he went from childish joy to pure hatred in seconds. what did I do? "WORM! WORM! GET OUT GO!" It took me a moment to realize that he was yelling at chiaki like a dog barking at a new person entering the owners house. I pet kokichi to make him calm down and it seemed to have worked, going from yelling at chiaki to just growling at her "I can smell the sugar crystals on you" Kokichi spat

I took a snif of her jacket. She did smell rather sweet. She looked uncomfortable which is....fair "um....why are you....smelling me" "I know who you are tsumugi! ADMIT IT" Kokichi suddenly lunged at chiaki I had to hold him back by his waist. "Don't make me burn you to a crisp because i'll do it" Chiaki sighed before a glowing beam enveloped her then once it faded I saw the witch from yesterday standing there. Tsumugi right?

"how did you even get here? I thought you were exiled to the swampland" Kokichi said with a smirk. Tsumugi looked down in embarrassment "I...i clung onto your tail while you were flying back" Tsumugi said as she hugged her arm "That explains why my tail felt heavier than normal" Wait if she was exiled from somewhere then....she must've done something bad right? What did she do? "Well anyway....get out" Kokichi commanded, making the taller girl's eyes widen "wait! No! You- you have to let me stay here! I don't want to go back!" I stepped in between the two "first tell me what you did that got you exiled then I'll consider letting you stay"

She let out a sigh before mumbling "I dissected a dragon...." "WHAT!" "I dissected a dragon! I just needed to know how they worked....did you know that they have two hearts, one in the tail and one in the chest" Kokichi looked at his tail and hummed thoughtfully. I heard him mumble "there's a heart in my tail....nice" I moment of silence passed before I said "...you have to go" "Wait! you have to understand my side of the story! Everyone told me that it was okay to dissect dragons!...but apparently it's illegal if they're in their human form....they're treated as animals when they're not in their human form and humans when they are! Isn't that dumb!"

Well....i guess I can see how that would be confusing....i paused and I saw a small hopeful smile appear on tsumugi's face "I guess we'll let you stay for awhile" Kokichi jumped up off of the floor and grabbed at my shirt desperately "noooo! Shuuu dont make me live with a dragon murderer!" "Well where would she go" "That doesn't have to be your problem! I-" Kokichi abruptly stopped talking and I could immediately see why. Tsumugi had grabbed kokichi's tail and was squeezing it in different places "this is a big tail....im suprised you aren't bigger when you're in your dragon form" Tsumugi remarked. Kokichi yanked his tail away from her "i'm sensitive about that!"

I got in between the two again "okay...rule time tsumugi, if you're going to live here I want you to promise that you won't touch kokichi whatsoever" I could see kokichi beg for her to not promise from the corner of my eye

"I promise!"
