Jaylee's POV
I sat alone on the grassy field for a while with my arms hanging over my knees, staring off into the distance with thoughts clouding my mind. I let out a heavy breath as I continued to ponder over the disagreement I had with the guys. I didn't understand why Louis was being so selfish, why all of them were being selfish. I wasn't being a terrible person for wanting to go back home.
If anything, it was wrong of them to still keep me here. I have no other reason to be here anymore other than for company. But that isn't worth more than being there for my family. I value my parents, my friends, and my customers more than anything. And the thought of them wanting to take that away from me just upsets me greatly.
They really can't be this selfish can they?Just because I won this with them doesn't mean I have to stay. It just meant I get to go home. If they even let me go home. I swear, if they even think of trapping me here I will fight every single one of them till I get my well deserved freedom.
Suddenly the door opened behind me, shining a bright yellow light that exposed their shadow. I sighed as I heard them walk off the porch before they slowly approached me, causing me to prepare myself for what's to come.
"You okay?" I heard Zayn's voice as I felt my chest tighten.
"It depends on your promise that you gave me yesterday." I responded as I kept my eyes forward.
He exhaled deeply before he took a few more steps closer. "We all came to an agreement. I think you should come inside to hear it." Zayn sounded a bit distant as he spoke his words.
I then felt my heart beat increase before I clenched my jaw and propped myself up. "Okay." I replied before I dusted off my bottoms.
We then walked back up towards the house before we entered inside. I kept my face strong and serious as I walked towards the guys who stood by the dining table, staring at me intensely.
"So you all came to an agreement?" I tried to sound professional as I crossed my arms over my chest. Gosh I even acted like them now.
"Yeah.... we did." Louis said before he licked his lips and shifted.
"Well... what did you agree on?" I questioned as I raised an eyebrow.
Niall looked down as he leaned against the counter, not wanting to look into my eyes for some reason. I glanced at him briefly before I looked back over at the rest, studying their expressions carefully.
"We decided it's best.... for you emotionally and mentally.... if you go back to your family." Louis answered as my eyes grew wide.
"What?" I gasped, not even trying to cover up my immediate smile. I've waited a lifetime for this moment to happen.
"You're.... letting me go?" I asked as Niall didn't look up.
"We saw what you were trying to tell us all along, and we realized that it's best if you go back to your normal life where you can be yourself and be free." Liam explained as I felt my heart race.
"I can go home?" I breathed as my heart slowly fluttered.
"We also heard of the promise Zayn gave you.... so we knew it would of been wrong to break it." Harry mentioned as I glanced over at Zayn who looked down.
"You're all really okay with this?" I was honestly shocked. I couldn't believe they were willing to let me go.
"Well... we don't want you to go... but it's what's best for you. And that's all we want, is for you to get the best and to be happy. After all, we owe it to you." Louis said as he took a step forward, locking eyes with me.
