Jaylee's POV
All the guys were sitting at the dinner table discussing an important subject as I stayed in the kitchen cooking food. I was making my favorite meal from home, chicken broccoli Alfredo. I was craving this food for a while now and once I saw all the ingredients, I instantly wanted to make it. The guys kept looking over at me to see what I was making since the delicious aroma filled the air.
No doubt they were probably really surprised to see me actually doing something other than crying or locking myself in Niall's room. Although it felt weird acting like this place was my mine as well, I couldn't help by try my best to make the best use out of it.
After I finished adding pepper to the sauce, I grabbed out 6 plates and filled them all up with food. I then walked up to the guys and put all the plates right near their arms as they all looked down at it with confusion. "I made you all dinner in appreciation for you guys always feeding me." I said as I sat down in between Zayn and Niall. I scooted my chair in and put a fork in the food before I looked up at everyone to see them all staring at each other with confusion.
Louis and Liam looked at each other and exchanged looks before they peered down at their food. "You.... made this.... For us?" Liam asked slowly. They seemed super lost. Just always be kind Jaylee no matter what they've done to you. My mothers words ran through my head as I stared into Liam's brown eyes. They will accept you for who you are one day. They will respect you. Kill them with kindness.
"Yes. I did." I smiled, causing everyone to glance at each other. "It's my favorite dish back at home. It's really good, you guys should try it." I said before I twirled some noodles and ate it. "Umm, Jaylee I don't understand. Why are you being so kind and making us dinner when all we've done is hurt you and make you feel worthless?" Louis asked as he stared at me.
I looked up at him with innocent eyes. "Because. I'm just that type of person. I was raised that way. Plus, you all seemed really busy tonight and I was getting hungry so I thought, why not?" I responded before I shrugged and continued to eat. Louis looked guilty as he stared down at his food. Good. I want them to feel guilty so they can let me go. I blinked at the boys innocently as they all stared at me.
"And don't worry. I didn't poison it." I chuckled. "Ummm, thank you Jaylee." Zayn said awkwardly. "You're welcome." I smiled before I ate again.
Liam and Louis started to mumble to each other before everyone dug in. Moans filled the air as they all tried the food. "Damn Jay this is good." Zayn breathed as he shook his head. "Yeah, this beats Harry's cooking." Niall chuckled as he looked at his noodles.
"Hey!" Harry yelled, causing everyone to chuckle, surprisingly even Louis. "Oh come on Harry. You gotta admit this is freaking good." Louis said as he raised his fork. "Ugh yes it's to die for. Gosh Jaylee, you got talent." Harry admitted. "Why thank you." I giggled. Everyone again stared at me with confusion.
I swallowed before I sighed and leaned in. "You know guys, just because you hurt me, doesn't me I'm going to hate you for it. A person is a person. And we should treat them the way we want to be treated. We should never bring a person down because we don't like them. So why watch someone suffer that feeling? I'm sorry but no matter what you guys do, I can't hate you for it. It's not me." I explained.
They all gulped before they stared down at their food. "I didn't know she was an angel Zayn." Liam said, causing me to blush. Louis stared at me for a long time before he shook his head and continued to eat. They all started to talk about things that made them happy and it made me smile surprisingly. I felt like I was bringing everyone together. They didn't seem so intense and stressed anymore, they genuinely looked happy.
