Cassiopeia stood at the front of the crowd, her dark brown curls blowing in the wind gracefully.
Her grandma and the executioner came on to the stage.
The executioner was grotesque. He had thin, wiry black hair and two eyes of different colours, one blue, one red. His complexion was pale and sick-looking. His nose was long and hook-like and his ears were as big as an elephant's ears. He had this violent look in his eyes. He had obviously committed murder before.
He looked around and then his eyes finally settled on Cassiopeia.
She snarled, seeing the deaths of various people he had killed.
He smirked, knowing of her gift.
Her breakfast threatened to come up and say hello just at the sight of his humongous, disgusting yellow teeth.
Cassiopeia clasped her delicate hands together, ready to beg for her grandma's freedom.
Her grandma would never allow it.
She'd rather be burned at the stake rather than have her pride on the line.
She'd even told Cassiopeia so, in the dungeon that night.
They lit the fire.
Cassiopeia smirked, her head down.
'Why not have a little fun?' She thought. 'Aguila wateerai'
Waves of water plunged out of the river they were situated nearby.
Cassiopeia's hands immediately went behind her back where nobody could see them.
She commanded the water to douse the fire.
The executioner's face went the colour of beetroot.
Grandma stifled a laugh even in the condition she was in as he looked so comical.
They lit it again.
This time Cassiopeia doused the fire by controlling it.
'Firalei enegro'
The fire got smaller and smaller, until it completely disappeared.
This time the executioner grunted in annoyance before taking out his huge, metal axe and swinging it at grandma's heart-shaped head.
PLOP!
Blood coursed through Cassiopeia's veins faster than it ever had.
A grimace contorted her features.
Cassiopeia's bewitching violet eyes filled with extreme rage.
The axe raised itself once again and swung itself at the executioner.
Blood rained down from the top of his gruesome head to rest on his shoulders.
He fell to his knees, his body crumbling to dust with each following movement.
Cassiopeia walked out of the town, realising her true power; to see peoples' pasts and punish them for any wrong doing they have completed.
She turned around, noticing something was following her.
It was a male arctic fox with cerulean blue eyes, its ears, nose and the bottom of its paws black.
"Mistress.........."
"But I'm only fourteen."
"You are much stronger than the average witch. You are a Aidelelumn, mistress."
An aidelelumn was an extremely powerful witch who was watched by the gods and gifted with an ability from them.
They were rare, so rare that there were practically any left.
"Why do you think I am an aidelelumn?!?!?!" Cassiopeia hysterically thrashed about.
"I think I know my mistress." The fox said bemusedly.
"I'm not your mistress!"
"Your my mistress and I'm your familliar."
"My familliar?"
"Yes. My name is Jinx."
"Jinx?" Cassiopeia said confused.
"You still haven't told me your name."
"Oh, right. I am Cassiopeia Tiffania Neverus. Now what are you here for?"
"Do you ever stop asking questions? And ou know why I'm here."
"Oh shut up!" Cassiopeia shouted picking him up and carrying him to the forest.
In the forest, they were met up by Merryfeather.
"Merryfeather, you are free to leave."
"But mistress............"
"I am her familliar!!!!!" Jinx bellowed.
"You? But you are only what, a fox? Mistress deserves better!" Merryfeather hooted with laughter.
"I could fight you and win anyday!" Jinx challenged.
"STOP!!"
"Mistress, take heed my words. My old mistress told me to serve you." Merryfeather wheezed.
"What were her actual words?"
"Her words were 'My dear friend, please take care of Cassi until she has no such need for you. That is my last wish to ask of you.' "
"If that is the case......I have no need for you, Merryfeather. You may go."
"Goodbye Mistress's granddaughter."
"Goodbye old friend."
