1 year later----------------------------------------> Cassiopeia's 16th birthday

Cassiopeia ran through the forest with extreme speed, her anger giving her energy. Someone had captured Jinx, her best friend, her helper, her familliar. She wasn't having it. She just hoped that she would get there in time. What if they hurt him?

Cassi, she thought, you idiot! Your a witch. You can use a teleporting spell to get you there.

'teleoportius'

She arrived in front of a familiar place.

It was the huge manor she had spent most of her childhood a prisoner in.

Oh, Cassiopeia thought, My family won't know what hit them.

Cassiopeia pulled her cloak's hood up so no one would be able to see her face.

She used the teleporting spell to get her to the dining room where she knew Jinx would be placed.

If anyone knew a thing about Cassiopeia, they knew that she loved grand entrances and that was what she was aiming to do.

She arrived in the dining room, a room where horrible versions of entertainment occurred.

Her family loved to dine in their version of style.

They all sat up on the high table, her father at the top of it and watched humans be tortured.

Cassiopeia would normally sit on her father's left hand side, a seat that was now occupied by a handsome man.

Her mind's eye could still imagine the torture.

It was disgusting!, she thought.

Jinx would really be in trouble if they had converted their entertainment to torturing animals.

"Who are you?" Her father's voice exclaimed.

"Oh, you don't remember me..." She responded melodically.

"I will only ask one more time. Who are you?" Her father snapped harshly.

"You don't remember your only daughter. Father, I'm disappointed in you." She smirked, taking off her hood, her dark hair falling down her back in waves.

She heard gasps from various members of her family.

"Cassi..............." He said softly.

Her violet eyes glinted, "Don't worry, I didn't come here to see you. I came to get my familliar back."

"Your familliar?"

"The arctic fox in the cage over there." She said, her tone indifferent.

"That's your familliar. But it's so annoying. It wouldn't stop complaining when we brought it here." said her kindest cousin, Alwyn.

"What can I say, opposites attract." She said warmly, the difference in her tone, obvious.

"This was not how I imagined meeting your family! Their henchmen's grubby paws have been all over my glorious fur. They have made me walk with a leach around my neck, wearing out the fur there. They have made me walk in the mud and now my nails are muddy. I wan't payment, Cassi!" Jinx whined.

Cassiopeia rolled her eyes, "I knew this was going to happen. No thankyou, just complaints. Well complain all you want about them. They aren't my family. They made that clear when they disowned me."

She looked at Jinx and winked.

"Father, do you want to talk power? I am an aidelelumn. I am more powerful than this entire family put together. Oh, and you didn't disown me. I disowned you the first time you made me watch the inhumane torture." She snarled.
