Cassiopeia smiled lovingly as she watched Rhys sleep. He really looked like an angel as he slept; her dark angel. His cheeks glowed a healthy shade of cherry red and light pink lips in a cute pout. His thick eyelashes rested on his rosy cheeks; his eyes unable to open from tiredness. Cassiopeia kissed Rhys's soft cheek.
"It's nice to know that I'm that attractive to be watched while I sleep." Rhys whispered in his sultry voice.
Cassiopeia blushed, "I didn't realise you were awake."
Rhys laughed, "I was awake before you woke, darling."
Cassiopeia giggled, "So, what do you want to do today?"
"My parents talked to me in the early morning. It seems that they have decided that I don't have to marry Natalia as you are from a powerful family and they approve of you but I wouldn’t have cared what they thought as you are my mate and I love you very much, sweet heart."
Cassiopeia just about held in her 'Awwwwwwww' and a warm smile spread throughout her enchanting face.
“I want to make you smile like that all the time as a smile from you truly brights up my world, my little flower.” Rhys breathed, caressing her face softly.
Cassiopeia’s heart filled with joy and she felt tears run down her cheek like water cascading down a waterfall.
“What is wrong, dearest?” Rhys looked worried.
“It’s just.....I’ve never been to anything as sweet as that before.” She smiled, burying her head in the crook of Rhys’s neck.
He slung his muscular arms around her slim waist, enjoying the feeling of her body pressed against his own.
“That gives me the excuse to say a lot where that came from.”
Cassiopeia twirled her hair around her finger flirtily, “And I can compliment you a lot too. You deserve it!”
“I do, don’t I?” He smirked egotistically.
“Hey!” Cassiopeia pouted, “You’re not meant to say that!”
Rhys took her pouted bottom lip between his own to kiss her passionately, “What do you want me to say, flower?”
Cassiopeia kissed him back just as passionately, adding in her love and lust for him.
“That I..... deserve more.........compliments than........you do!” She sighed out between kisses.
“And why would I do that?” Rhys sneered playfully.
“Because you wuv me....” Cassiopeia said in a baby voice.
“What if I didn’t?” Rhys just loved questioning her!
“That wouldn’t happen, Rhyssy-kins.” Cassiopeia fluttered her eyelashes.
“How can I resist you, flower?” Rhys sighed.
Cassiopeia smiled and then sat and cuddled with him.
“Awwwwwwww,” Natalia’s clear voice portrayed warmth and adoration, “You two look adorable together.”
Cassiopeia’s ebony-haired head rested on Rhys’s strong shoulder, his arm around her delicate body.
She fit perfectly into him.
“Nat..........” Cassiopeia smiled, “It’s just like old times. You’ve appeared out of nowhere, just like you used to.”
Natalia laughed and turned her gaze to Rhys, “I hope that you and I can be friends, Rhys. I’m not that horrible, I swear! Anyways, I don’t love you. I never will as I have my own mate. I was heart-broken when Uncle Theodore forced me to marry you.”
“Who is your mate?” Rhys asked, “And of course we can be friends. Any cousin of Cassiopeia’s is my closest friend.”
“Alwyn.....” Natalia blushed, taking an interest in her overly polished shoes.
Cassiopeia laughed hysterically, making Natalia blush like a mad woman.
Rhys looked at her with raised eyebrows.
“Ally, huh?” Cassiopeia giggled, “I remember that you used to be the mother and father and I’d be the child when we would play families. You looked an adorable bride when we played weddings too. I always knew it would happen!”
Rhys grinned and kissed Cassiopeia on the forehead.
“We really need some time to go to the market and spend time together. I miss you, Cassi. Don’t get me wrong, Rhys! You’re great but I miss spending time with Cassi.” Natalia whined.
“You should go with my mother.” Rhys smirked.
“Ohhhhh no! The last time I went with her was extremely awkward.” Natalia panicked.
“Come on, Natalia. How bad can it be?” Cassiopeia raised her perfectly thin eyebrow.
“You don’t know. You weren’t there.” Natalia grinded her teeth.
Cassiopeia winced at the noise.
“Sorry,” Natalia apologised, “Please understand, Cassi.”
Cassiopeia gave Natalia her irresistible puppy-dog eyes, “Pwease Natty darling!”
Natalia sighed, defeated, “Alright. Be ready in half an hour.”
Natalia walked off to get ready for their trip.
“I’ll go to tell my mother. You’ll love her, flower, really.”
“Really?” Cassiopeia asked, looking extremely innocent.
“Really.” Rhys kissed her one last time before going off to find his mother.
Cassiopeia got ready with plenty of time to spare.
When she came out of the bath room from her bath, she found Jinx lying on her bed.
“Jinx!”
“Cassi!”
“I’m going to the market with Natalia and Rhys’s mother. Do you have any requests for anything you want me to buy for you?” Cassiopeia asked caringly.
“Just some hair products, a new comb and apples.” Jinx winked.
Jinx was probably the only fox that liked apples.
Scratch that, he adored them.
“More hair products?” Cassiopeia sighed.
“You need a lot of the stuff to get fur like this!” Jinx sneered snobbishly.
“Be good and stay with my father or Rhys then.” Cassiopeia left him to sleep.
Jinx got along very well with Cassiopeia’s father surprisingly.
Maybe because they were both egotistical and whiny.
Cassiopeia found it strange that her father and familiar had the same kind of personality.
Well, Cassiopeia thought, it can’t be helped.
Cassiopeia had a wonderful time with Natalia and Juliette!
With Natalia it was just like old times.
Natalia had the best fashion sense which was why you would only wish for her to accompany you to a shopping trip.
Juliette was very kind and fun to be with.
She didn’t get along with Natalia at first but honestly, who did?
Cassiopeia managed to get them to sort their differences out and be at least civil to one another.
When they got back, Cassiopeia felt that she was literally about to collapse and that’s just what she did.
Rhys had to carry her up the stairs to bed.
The next day, Cassiopeia would be moving to the Dragomir castle and she was as nervous as one could get.
She hoped King Dragomir would like her as much as Juliette did.
Cassiopeia couldn’t say it would be easy to like King Dragomir but she would at least try.
For Rhys.....................
