"Man, it sure is boring around here." You walked down the street, glancing left and right. "I thought maybe moving and getting a new job would be exciting enough, but I guess not."

"Any minute now."

"What?" You stopped abruptly, finding yourself on a small bridge. "Who said that?" There was someone leaning against the bridge across from you, staring down at the water. He was wearing shades and a leather jacket. "Is that a bowl cut? What."

"Heh, I still got it." The strange man took out a compact mirror, studying his reflection. "Ah, perfect."

"Okay (Y/N), just keep walking. Maybe he didn't see you." You took two steps before he turned around.

"Well hello there, Karamatsu girl." He made a gesture like he was shooting a gun and made a clicking noise. "May I have the name of this fair maiden?"

"Er, (Y/N)." He spoke English! Maybe it wasn't a good idea giving out your name to creepy strangers. "What's yours?"

"Well, my beloved," he spun around, raising your face to his, "you may call me Karamatsu Matsuno, or your new love."

"Love?" You took an uneasy step back. "I'm sorry, but I don't even know you."

"Well, do you believe in love at first sight, or should I walk by again?" Karamatsu snapped his fingers.

"That was one of the cheesiest things I've heard in my entire life," you replied.

"B-but no one can resist my amazing charm!" He faltered slightly. "Wait, are you blushing, my beloved?"

"What?" You placed a hand on your cheek, confirming his suspicions. "Oh god."

"Well, (Y/N)? How about you come to my home with me? Maybe you can stay for dinner."

"I don't know, you might be a murderer," you joked. "A gangster murderer."

"Gangster?" He dropped his sunglasses in the water. "I look like a gangster?"

"Kind of."

"Oh, nice!" Karamatsu looked down in the water. "Crap, give me a sec." He rolled up his pants and took off his jacket, revealing a tank top with his own face on it.

"Wow, how egotistical can you get?"

"Alright, here I go." He waded into the shallow water, not showing if he heard you at all. "Let's see, god knows how many of these I've dropped."

"You've dropped some before?!"

"Yeah, I just decided to get them this time. They do cost money, you know!" He swished the water with his hands for a bit, before smiling. "Aha!" He held up ten pairs of sunglasses. "Success!"

"What?!" You took an uneasy step back. "You're weird!"

"I've heard everything before, it doesn't bother me." Karamatsu slowly looked down, a sad look in his eyes. "I have brothers."

"O-oh," you muttered, feeling like a jerk. You even ignored the fact that he was wearing colored contacts. "Sorry."

He immediately perked up. "All is forgiven, my beloved!"

"Er, good. Actually, you know what? I will come over." You owed him that much, you supposed.

"Really?! You mean it?! Yes! I can't wait to rub this in their faces!" He did a little dance.

"Wait, did you invite me just to show me off?!" you hissed.

"What? No, I wouldn't do that with a Karamatsu girl!" Karamatsu laughed sheepishly. "I'm not that desperate!" He clearly was, but whatever.
