Chapter 18

Roxys POV

Scott had managed to drag me to the ice rink where he was seeing Boyd, apparently he wasnt in school today.

"Hey Boyd." I say and he smiles at me. "Boyd, are you okay?" Scott asks and he nods.

"Do you know about everything, did Derek tell you?" Scott says and multiple scents begin to fill my nose.

"He told me about the hunters yes." Boyd says and I play with my hair anxiously. I knew where this was going, even if I missed a day of this life.

"You dont wanna be like them." Scott says. "Hey." I say and he sends a weak smile my way. I fold my arms and look up the Boyd. I saw a blood stain on his shirt.

Derek already did it, Scott couldnt do anything. "Whatever you want theres another way to get it." Scott pleads.

"I just dont want to eat lunch alone everyday." He says. "Well you can make better friends then Derek." Scott says.

"Ouch, that hurt." Derek says from behind us. Issac and Erica stand by him.

"If your going to review me atleast ask my other partners, Erica hows life been since you met me." Derek says. "In a word, transformative." She says.

"Issac." Derek says and the tall boys eyes meet mine. "Bit bummed im a fugitive but other than that, im great." He says and then Derek turns to me.

"Ro-"

"No." I say and Dereks eyes widen a little. "Since I got the bite my life has been more and more difficult, I thought being a woman was bad enough but clearly not. When I met you I was happy, then when I got dragged into this shit. I stopped being happy." I say rambling and Scotts eyes grow soft.

"The bite isnt a gift, if it is. Its shitty and im not grateful for it." I say and Derek tilts his head. "But I thought-"

"Thats the thing Derek, you dont think. You're building a pack too early, you're just going to get these kids killed. The lizard thingy whatever is going to kill one of us or going to cause us mass amounts of pain. Either way I dont like it." I say and I see Issac frown at me.

"And its a bit shitty that your using my best friend and crush to try and get me to join your pack." I say and the two betas look at me.

"How did you not shift during that, you looked very angry." Erica says. "Oh my god is that the thing you focused on." I say scrunching my hair in my hands.

"Roxy has an anchor." Scott says and Erica nods. "Who, maybe I can kill them and you'll get mad. I need a good fight." She says and I face my best friend who gets out her claws.

"Well this isnt a fair fight." Scott says and I snort. "Yeah, for them." I say shifting and growling at Erica who has a smirk on her face.

I shift back with no problems and smile at her. "Still wanna fight?" I ask and she runs at me causing Issac to run at Scott.

I shift and grab her shirt and pinning her to the ice. I throw a couple punches at her face and her blood leaves as quickly as it comes.

I havent actually fought anyone before. But what I knew is that I was winning. I slashed her stomach and she started coughing up blood.

Which I when I stopped.

I saw Scott knock Issac out and amd I pushed Erica towards him. "Didnt even land a punch." I hiss at the girl who was groaning.

I look up at Derek and shift back and he smirks at me. "Great improvement." He says and I nod slowly.

"Dont you get it, its all about power." Scott yells and I look down to see 2 of my favourite people in pain.

"It is." Derek admits and he faces me. "Its all about power, were stronger together." He says and Boyd jumps off the ice machine as Derek gets Scott in a hold.

I run down to Issac and he looks up at me with a smile. "You softy." He says. "Shut up." I say as I take some of his pain away. He groans and I hear a thud as Derek drops Scott.

"Lets go." He says and his betas stand up and follow him. I turn to Scott who looks angry. "You can go you lovesick puppy." He says and I go up to him and wrap him in a hug.

"This is all so confusing, but im on your side." I say and he nods into my shoulder.

Id rather my brother then a best friend, id rather my brother then a boyfriend. So Scotts side it was.

We walk out of the ice rink and see Stiles jeep. "Are you okay?" He asks coming up to me and I nod as his hands land on my cheeks.

"I was so worried Rox." He says and I chuckle. "Scots the one that got hit." I say and Stiles wraps me in a hug.

"Youre never going anywhere unless im with you." He says and I laugh into his chest. "Toilet? Lydias." I say and he moves away.

"Fine." He says and I squeeze him back. "I love you Stiles." I say and he snorts. "Love you too." He says and we head back home.

"Hey kids." Dad says. "Hey." I say and run up to hug him. "Oh whats this?" He asks and then Stiles comes up and hugs him too.

"Have you cooked yet?" I ask and dad shakes his head. "Get a movie out, ill order pizza." I say and dad smiles at me as we let go. "You mean ill order pizza, broke ass." Stiles says.

"Shush, its family time. Be nice." I say and Stiles laughs at me. We then both look to dad who has a grin on his face. "Love you kids." He says hugging us again
