Chapter 9: Apathy Investigation

Y/N POV

A week has passed and nothing special happened really. Just an ordinary day of class and getting to know the rest of my friends here in Beacon academy. I was just training in my room since there was nothing really to do during the weekend, so I decided to use my time properly.

I then headed on out to the library just to research some more Grimm and what kind of Grimm exists out there. As I was heading there, I spot team RWBY by the benches in the plaza area of Beacon. Well, it looks they're enjoying each other's company. Ruby goofing around while Weiss is annoyed by it, Blake just chuckling at was she was witnessing between the two, and then there was Yang.

I remember that up to this day she still won't talk to me for some unknown reason and it's really bugging me. Like I didn't even do anything wrong so what's there to complain about. This is why I chose to stay on the path of being on my own before... I don't want the people I meet to get affected in any way just because of me. But I guess it already happened with Yang. I decided to regain my focus and continue my walk to the library.

Timeskip

This was my first time entering Beacon Library, I was expecting lots of people but I guess I jinxed it. I continued to walk around the library until I found the aisle that I was looking for. This was kind of enough information for me to learn about the Grimm I faced during the initiation and some that I may encounter along the way.

Y/N: Nevermore, an avian that has characteristics of several bird species.

So far what I've read was info on the Grimm I've encountered. I was scrolling through the pages and I found some pages only had a name of the Grimm but any other type of info was missing.

Ozpin: I assume that the book caught your interest?

I moved my eyes up to my surprise that Professor Ozpin was in front of me.

Y/N: Yeah, it did. I just wanted to learn more about the Grimm.

Ozpin: It's good that you're very eager to learn more about them compared to most students, but always remember that they're not the only enemy Y/N.

Y/N: Yeah, I've heard of that before and...... It's a lesson that I won't forget.

As Ozpin nodded at my response and was about to leave, I wanted to ask him first about the missing info on some of the Grimm.

Y/N: Professor Ozpin, is there really no information for these Grimms that I'm reading.

Ozpin: Well, yes. If there was the one who would've written that kind of information should be alive.

Y/N: Oh... Shit.

Ozpin: If you are eager to learn one of those Grimm, I can take you to one right now.

Y/N: Wait, you mean... One of these Grimms is nearby?

Ozpin: Not exactly, I have in my notes here on one of the locations of the Grimm that you're intrigued to learn about.

Y/N: Well shoot, I'm up for it.

Ozpin: A brave act I must say but be warned Y/N, this kind of Grimm won't be like the Grimm you faced before.

Y/N: Yeah, noted Ozpin. I'll be back soon with the info I've gathered.

I returned the book and marked the written location on Ozpin's notebook to my Scroll. I bowed to Ozpin and walked going towards the exit.

Ozpin: And Y/N. Just gather the info and try your best not to engage in combat alone.

Y/N: Noted Ozpin.
