Chapter 13: A Beautiful Lie

3rd POV

It was noon, Y/N was trying to get some rest after the training he just finished a few minutes ago. He lied down on his bed and closed his eyes to get some sleep

??: Y/N!!!

A sudden scream that came from the hallways was heard. Y/N stood up immediately and rushed to the door and opened this quickly

But something was off, the place was a mess and the other half of the building was destroyed like it was torn off so the outside area of Beacon can be seen

??: Y/N!!!!!!

Y/N was still searching for the source of the voice but Y/N slowly looked above to see thousands of Grimm on floating platforms

Beacon was destroyed and Grimm's were also scattered around the place. There was no presence of life coming from Beacon, it's a dark wasteland

??: Y/N!! HELP US!!

Earlier Y/N could hear the voices properly like it was near him. But now, Y/N started to hold his head since the voice was now echoing in his mind

Y/N: What... Is Happening... Arghhhhhh!

This caused Y/N to scream a bit until the voices were gone. He was able to regain his focus but, something else changed. He looks at his surroundings and now, he sees the bodies of his fallen friends and loved ones. Scattered like piles of trash in this wasteland

Y/N: No.....No. This can't be happening...

Y/N's voice was starting to shiver as he moves slowly through the corpses, looking at them one by one and letting that horrific sight into his mind

??: You could've saved us Y/N.

??: You were too late, YOU WERE ALWAYS LATE.

??: Why. Why Y/N? YOU. LEFT US

Voices were whispering, others were shouting at Y/N's mind each time he looks at the face of his fallen comrades. Until he stops and looks at the last body, it was Yang

Y/N kneeled down, devastated by what he has witnessed. The body of his lover

Y/N: NO!!!!!!!!!!

His scream echoed through the broken halls of beacon while not a single Grimm was taking notice of Y/N's presence

Yang: I thought. You loved me Y/N? You abandoned me, and left me to die!

Y/N's hold the lifeless body of Yang while whispers of her voice start to enter his head

Y/N: Please... Why is this happening.. Tell me Yang? What, did I, do wrong?..

He starts to show his tears as he embraces Yang's lifeless body, Yang's body starts to fade away as Y/N tries to grab it still but couldn't

Y/N lets out a war cry but this being an emotional one

Y/N suddenly stops and looks behind and encounters an unfamiliar face. It was a woman with really white paled skin and her eyes were red that showed pure darkness

??: How do you feel Y/N? Knowing that you aren't good enough to save everyone.

Y/N couldn't do anything, instead of fighting back, he was just there kneeling, mourning, and devastated still for what he just witnessed

The mysterious woman approached Y/N and placed a hand on his shoulder. Y/N was filled with anger but his emotions are getting over him and this has led to his current state
