Chapter 5: The Initiation

3rd Person POV

Y/N is currently lying down in bed and slowly starts to wake up from his sleep. He suddenly feels something heavy on top of him so he decided to take a peak. It was Yang who was using Y/N as a pillow. Y/N blushed a thousand shades of red and started to breathe heavily due to him not used to being in this kind of situation. Yang starts to wake up and sees Y/N and not knowing why Y/N's face is red.

Yang:...Morning...Y/N. Why is your face so red right now?

Y/N: uhhhhhhhhmmmm

Confused from the response of Y/N,
Yang now realized what position she was in right now and stood up from bed immediately.

Y/N: Look Yang, I'm sorry if I-

Yang: No Y/N. You don't need to apologize... I was the one who offered you to sleep in the same bed with me so it is practically my fault.

Y/N: Yeah... Thanks again for.... letting me sleep here.

Y/N a bit flustered still after giving his response to Yang, decides to get up as well since he remembered about his scheduled initiation.

Y/N: I'll see you later Yang.

He then leaves the room with his blade and leaving Yang in bed still feeling sleepy.

Timeskip

Y/N has arrived at Beacon cliff and wondering why there are no people in sight or whatsoever. He then sighs and tries to leave until someone calls his attention.

Ozpin: Did you really expect that no one was gonna show up?

Y/N turns around and sees Professor Ozpin with another professor which is a woman.

Y/N: So, what kind of initiation do you have planned for me Professor Ozpin?

Ozpin: Well Y/N it's really simple, all you have to do is stand on this platfo-

Y/N: and I'll be launched into the air right? And I have to kill those Grimms? Or whatever you guys call them.

Ozpin: Certainly. But, that is not the main goal of this initiation of yours, you need to collect a hidden chess piece and once you find the piece, your initiation will be completed.

After listening to the explanation of Professor Ozpin, Y/N nodded and stood on the platform and waiting to be launched.

Ozpin: And Y/N, your performance is live and the whole academy is watching. Good Luck.

Y/N: Thanks sir. Here we go then

Y/N nodded again and was launched into the air.

Meanwhile at Beacon Academy

Yang POV

Student 1: A solo initiation huh? What was Ozpin thinking

Student 2: It's crazy that the guy thinks he can handle those Grimm by himself.

Yang was focused on the live coverage of Y/N's initiation and hoping that nothing bad would happen to him after the initiation is over.

Ruby: Hey sis, you doing okay?

Yang: Ohh sorry.. was just focused on the live feed of Y/N that's all.

Weiss: Good luck to him and I hope a Nevermore doesn't show up.

Blake: You know the way you just said that it's like you want one to show up

Weiss: No I don't! Just saying and whatever good luck to him.
