Chapter 16: The prey wins

3rd POV

Y/N was now on the 22nd floor of the building and he still has 32 floors more before he could reach the top. Y/N hasn't been spotted by any White Fang or any of the thugs that Torchwick has. He then enters a room filled with Liquor and Wine. A thug can be seen inspecting the bottles and opened one to take a sip. Y/N grabbed the thug as he finished his sip. Y/N used his sword while sheathed to choke the man until he was unconscious. But as Y/N checked the man for a pulse, the man was now a corpse.

Y/N: Shit. One less thug in the city though, I'll take that any day.

Y/N muttered this as he was changing his attire to the dead thug's outfit. He hid the body in one of the crates and made sure that no one else was in the room.

Y/N: Hmm. Good enough.

Y/N looked at himself through his scroll and had the complete set as a disguise of Roman's thugs. A bowl hat, shades, and a trench coat.
Y/N now left the room and started to blend in with the crowd as he heads up to the remaining floors of the building.

Y/N: One false move, the whole building will be on alert. Must tread lightly.

The floor Y/N was currently on was filled with the thugs of Roman and no White Fang can be seen. Y/N spotted a pink hair girl casually walking around and not minding the glares she's receiving from the other thugs in the area.

Y/N: I don't want to mess with her.

Y/N just shrugged it off and continued to walk up as he resumes his search for Roman. He tried asking others where he can find Torchwick, hoping for some info on his whereabouts.

Y/N: You guys know where the boss at?

Thug: Most likely he's in his office doing his shit. If he ain't there then good luck on finding him.

Y/N: Thanks.

Y/N continued walking until he reached the 50th floor of the building. There were not that many guards in this area of the building. This part of the building was filled with things that they smuggle like dust, jewelry, and also weapons.
Y/N hides behind a stack of crates as two people exited from one of the doors. And it was the man himself Roman Torchwick along with his sidekick Neo. They stop at a nearby table and discuss some problems they have.

Torchwick: So Y/N didn't kill Ozpin. Mhm, well I already expected this to happen. Let us just focus on how Yang escaped and that plan we've prepared.

Neo was making hand signals which made Y/N confused.

Y/N: She's. Deaf?

Torchwick: Yes yes I know Neo. It is already obvious that little red was behind this escape. The question is where was Y/N?

Neo then brought out a whiteboard poster and wrote down the thing she wants to say to Roman.

Torchwick: He must be in Beacon. Discussing how they will deploy their counterplay for what we did. Well then, shall we move to the main office?

He gestured to Neo as they take the elevator up which was heading to the 53rd floor.

Y/N: Gotcha.

Y/N then heads to the stairs and follows them there. He stopped and hid behind the door to see Roman and Neo conversing. Y/N, close to unsheathing his blade, was interrupted when Roman pointed his cane towards the door and shot it multiple times. Y/N jumped to the side and leaned on the wall while Roman continued to fire gunshots still.

Torchwcik: Well done Y/N. You've now discovered the place where all my operations are done. I hope you didn't have a hard time going all the way up until here and I must applaud you for such efforts.
