Niall's first single is Nice to Meet Ya. Wow. I thought he would scrap all the songs that had anything to do with me. I listened to the song, just to see if he cut out the "J'adore la mer" line, but alas, it was still there.
I would've probably read too much into the song, but luckily my mind was occupied by something else. Zayn and Gigi were coming today.
Gigi had messaged me when they landed in LA, and said they would be coming over soon. I was super excited, but at the same time I wished all the boys could be together.
I basically grew up with the boys, touring and spending every day for months on end with them. It's so complicated now. I can't even imagine all the boys in one room together, especially after how separate everyone's paths have gotten.
The doorbell rang, pulling me out of my thoughts. I practically jumped off the couch, walking over to the door as fast as I could.
I swung the door open and immediately hugged Zayn. "Z, I missed you so much!"I exclaimed.
He laughed, tightening his grip around me. "Missed you too, J,"he mumbled, kissing the top of my head.
"No love for me?"I heard a voice from beside him.
I quickly pulled away from Zayn and hugged Gigi. "Gi, I missed you too. But I'm sorry, Zayn gets special treatment. I saw you a few months ago, but I haven't seen Zayn in person for years now,"I explained.
I looked at Zayn, taking in his blonde hair and dark beard. He looked so different but so familiar as well as he smiled at me.
"Come in, guys. It's kind of cold out here,"I said, stepping aside to let them in.
We sat in the living room, just catching up.
"I was literally listening to Icarus Falls the other day, Z. It's amazing,"I said.
Zayn smiled shyly. "I'm glad you like it."
I turned to Gigi and said,"You're lucky, you get to hear him singing all the time."
She laughed and said,"Hey, you experienced the same thing with Niall for a while."
"And Harry for a while as well,"Zayn added.
I rolled my eyes. "Let's not talk about my relationship failures."
Gigi put her arm around my shoulder. "I'm sorry about Niall. You two were so cute together."
I sighed,"It's fine. What's meant to be will be. Maybe I'm not destined to find my soulmate."
"Or maybe your soulmate's just not a member of One Direction,"Zayn teased.
