Working with Michael was the funnest thing we've done together in a long time. Working in the comic shop has helped me talk to people a lot more. And I've gotten so many compliments on my style and my choice in superheroes and other things we sell in the store.
Michael's never been happier to be around me and spend as much time together as we get to. He gets to work longer hours than me most of the time but I still get in a lot of work. Ashton's been working on some new songs at home. And the boys have been practicing a lot. We're trying to get them a gig anywhere that will take them. I'm gonna talk to my friend that works at the bar down the street from the shop. He's a bartender and Michael hates him because he talks about me around school a lot I guess. It's kinda cute that he gets jealous. To think of it all the boys don't like that I'm friends with him.
My shift was over a bit early and Michael had to stay a little late to close up. I told him I was just gonna go home but I was really going to the bar to talk about the gig with Justin. The walk to the bar wasn't that long. Maybe two minutes or so. I smiled at Bernie the bouncer and he opened the door for me, commenting that I look wonderful as always. I walked up to the bar and smiled at Justin taking a seat.
"You want a drink babe?" He smirked drying his hands.
"Nah, I'm here for business." I laughed placing my hands on the counter and leaning forward.
"You want a gig space," he stated turning to grab me a water.
"Yes please," I smiled a cheesy grin his way.
"Well for you, I can give your silly little boyfriend's band a spot on Friday next week at 9. That's all I can fit you in for." He said handing me the date on a napkin.
"Thanks Hun," I smiled jumping off the stool and heading towards the door.
"I better see your cute ass there!" He shouted as I walked out.
"I'll be there." I shouted back.
Harmless flirting on his part. I'm sure. I walked slowly back towards the store seeing Michael locking the doors. I ran silently up behind him and grabbed him in my arms. He screamed pushing me off him.
"Don't do that! You scared the shit out of me Hazel!" He huffed
"Wait, what are you doing here?" He asked standing up straight.
"I have some good news, I'll tell you when we get to the house." I smiled taking his hand and giving his cheek a light kiss. He smiled pulling me under his arm. The walk home was silent and short. we never said much when we were together. We were comfortable in the silence. We walked into the house without a sound.
"BOYS COME INTO THE LIVING ROOM!?!" I yelled plopping down onto the couch.
They came running down and sat on the couches or the table.
"I have an announcement to make,"
"You're pregnant with Clifford's baby?" Calum blurted laughing.
"No, I got you guys a gig next Friday." I said smiling.
They all started screaming and jumping up and down. They were so happy.
"How did you do that?! You talked to that scumbag Justin didn't you?" They all said together.
"Yes I talked to Justin and he gave me the spot for you guys. I think we should all be happy I have connections with the bartender okay?" They all glared for a few seconds and moved on.
"Well we're all thankful for the gig." Ashton smiled hugging me.
"Oooo I also got the logo on some teeshirts for you guys and a sweater for me." I said pulling the box out from under the couch.
The boys were pretty excited for their first gig and to be honest I was too.
