Chapter 8

*Michael's P.O.V*

The five of us settled down into her bed and watched movies for a while. I'm glad she finally likes me a little. I mean, she has too. She kissed me back. That has to mean something.

*Hazel's P.O.V*

While we all laid in my huge bed watching Narnia, I heard the door downstairs click as it shut. Panic struck me as I heard the light creak of the kitchen floor.

"Shhh! Guys call the police, someone's downstairs!" I whispered panicking even more than before.

Ashton called in and soon enough the person down stairs made their way up the stairs and down the hall from my bedroom. I was almost in tears at how scared I was. It was horrifying to think that someone was in my house without permission. Living alone was a bad idea. I need someone to move into this big house with me.

The police crept up the stairs to the front door quietly. The intruder proceeded to crawl around my home like the filthy bug he or she was. Soon enough they figured out the police were here and bolted for my bedroom. They must know me if they knew that my room is the fire escape room. Meaning that my room has steps just behind the cabinet that conceals it from view.

I screamed at the top of my lungs and the closest officer came in to arrest the man or woman that could've destroyed my home. The officer, now known as Officer Shelby pulled the ski mask off the intruder. To my surprise I was right. It was my ex boyfriend. He looked at me with so much hate filling his eyes. I looked down at Michael's hand holding mine and back to the boy that haunted my nightmares.

"We've got the proof it was him now Mrs. Pitchford, we will have a court date set up for you. I will have someone call you in a few days." Officer Shelby said as his partner pulled the perpetrator away.

"Thank you sir, I'll be seeing you soon." I said closing my front door and locking it. Nothing was taken, nothing broken. He just invaded my house. I am so glad the boys were here. I could have been seriously hurt.
