After my Mom told me the surprising information about Jaxon and I meeting each other when he saved my life when we were younger, we parted ways, I went to meet the girls at Rosie's car to head to Mia's for the party. On the drive to Mia's house, a million thoughts were going through my head, like Jaxon and I met each other in the past, and he saved my life at just 9 years old. How my Mom and Kelly became good friends after what happened. How do I not remember anything about that day, I tried to think back to remember the Beach, the fun day out with my family or a small 9-year-old boy, but nothing was coming. If I'd remembered that day and everything that happened that day, Jaxon and I would've had so much more time together, but I can't change the past, I guessed in some way I should Jaxon and I got out time together, it was like we were always been meaning to meet each other again, maybe it was faith or just coincidence but who knows.
We got to the party shortly after 2. The music was already blasting from the house while I got out of the car with Rosie's help, I fixed my white dress before we walked up the stairs into the house.
"Rosie, I don't need my wheelchair," I told her.
"Are you sure babe?" she asks. I nodded. I'm sure I would find a seat if needed to sit down.
We were the first people there; the music was playing because the DJ came before we did. Jeff said he would stay down the hall in his office while everyone will be here. He made an agreement with my parents that he would stay in the house when the party would be going on just in case anything happened to me. Everyone arrived on time, we all shared where we were going to College. Ethan and Rosie are going to Stanford University together. Ethan got a scholarship for football just like the one he has been hoping to get in all year, while Rosie is going to study music. I'm so happy for them, that they get to spend the next 4 years in College together. I wondered if Jaxon would be here, would we have made plans to go to the same College together just like Rosie and Ethan did.
The was amazing Mia did think of everything, the DJ, the music, the food, and decorations. The party was mostly outside the backyard. Some people were in the pool while others were dancing. Everyone looked like they were making the most of their last night of being a High School student. I tried to join in, but my head wasn't in it. The last time I looked at the clock it was almost 7. I knew it wasn't that late, but I was planning on not staying that late anyway.
"Come dance with us" she took my hand to help me up.
I shook my head "I actually need to run to the bathroom"
"Do you need me to go with you?" she asks as she begins to walk with me.
I shook my head. "No, Rosie I'm fine, I will be right back," I said. She nodded agreeing to let me go by myself.
I made my way inside, making sure I was walking slowly so I wouldn't fall. I knew there was a bathroom downstairs, so I didn't need to walk up the stairs. Once I did my business in the bathroom, I walked out seeing no one was there. I think no one remembered there was a downstairs bathroom down here.
"Are you alright Ally?" I heard a voice from behind me. I turned around to see it was Jaxon's dad, he was standing outside his office looking at me.
"I'm fine thank you. I think I'm going to head home soon" I replied. Jeff nodded
"I could drive you if you want?" I nodded.
"Yeah, please that would be great".
He started to walk closer to where I was standing but not to close. "I take it, your Mom told you everything."
"Yeah, she did. Do you remember that day?" I ask.
Jeff smiled thinking back to the memory. "How could I forget. It was an awful and long day. Kelly and I were so proud of Jaxon that day, he saved a little girl's life but we were so worried about it and Jaxon wanted to know if you were ok. We understood your Mom and Dad didn't want to tell you about what happened, you didn't remember it, so it made sense. We always kept in touch with your parents, they always told Jaxon how you were doing. When My wife died, he got closer to your Mother. They would meet up for coffee every week.
