“nice to finally know your name victoria” michael smiled, i smirked and nodded.

“nice to know yours as well michael” i replied, pulling out my pack of cigarettes and opening it; taking a half smoked cigarette and put it between my lip, then lit it. taking a drag of my cigarette, blowing the smoke through my nostrils; flaring them a few times afterwards. michael seemed enticed with my smoking, i arched my eyebrow at him.

he seemed to snap himself out of his own haze and shook his head slightly. running his fingers through his hair before shaking his head once more and brushing it off to the side.

“oh uh, can i get your number by the way?” he asked, i put away the pack of cigarettes and lighter; shoving them both as deep as i could into my pocket and pulling out my phone from my jeans’ pocket.

“yeah sure” i went to the my contacts section in my phone and created a new one. handing him the phone, michael’s own phone buzzed in his pocket, handing me back mine he pulled out his; i glanced down at the open messenger window and chuckled at the name he had given himself.

super intensely hot purple haired boy” i read aloud  and michael laughed at the name he had given himself and nodded. his hand going up to his eyebrow and messing with his piercing, I shook my head slightly and sent michael a text so that he could add me to his own phone.  “well,” i said dropping my cigarette bud to the ground and squashing it with my foot. “i think i should get going, i will…text you later?” i finished and cocked my head at the slightest.

“yeah!  sure! definitely!” he replied and put his phone away, i did mine and waved him bye as i began to walk back in the direction i had come from. when i reached my home, i darted in the door and to my room; my mom sat in the living room watching tv; her eyes glued to her favorite soap opera. closing my bedroom door behind me as i kicked off my shoes and dropped back onto my bed.

pulling out my phone and staring at it for a few minutes, slightly expecting it to ding with a message. but alas, it didn’t; i was unsure if i felt let down, or relieved that i didn’t have to participate in a conversation I might not enjoy.

my room was dark and the only thing lighting it had been the glow from my phone screen, I removing my sunglasses and dropping them on the bed i crawled up to the top of my bed clutching the pillows as i propped up my phone and put on a Youtube video. i already began to feel the drowsiness of fatigue and my eyes began to close.
