"You're late," Sehun deadpanned.
"I know, I know, I'm sorry I got held up at the studio. Some of the students needed help with the choreography and I stayed behind to-"
"Who needed help?"
"Oh you know, the usual suspects. Karina, Jungwoo and-"
"Taeyong?"
"Yeah... Anyway, did you need anything before I get back? I'm gonna make a quick stop at the supermarket."
"No, I'm good."
"Are you sure? How about some bubble tea? Chocolate milk?"
"No thanks."
"I'll get you some anyway, in case you change your mind. Huh?" He paused briefly and Sehun could hear a familiar voice talking to him in the background. "Nah, think I'll pass... I really can't tonight, Sehun's waiting for me... You guys take care. Hey, Sehun. Sorry, the guys were inviting me to go karaoke with them."
"Right... Anyway, just get home soon. Or don't. Up to you."
"Why, do you miss me?" He could almost hear the cheeky grin in his voice.
"No," Sehun huffed, "I'm just bored of lying around in bed all day watching Euphoria for the second time."
"And you want me to come entertain you?" His voice dropped an octave.
"I mean, sure."
"Do we have enough lube?"
Sehun widened his eyes, "Jesus, that's not the kind of entertainment I was talking about! Pervert."
Jongin laughed into the phone, "Oh God you're cute. Also, I think the students heard me, they look traumatized."
Sehun couldn't help but chuckle at that. "Just hurry up and get home already."
"Alright, I'll get going. Prepare your body."
"Jongin."
"What?" He chuckled.
"Get me bubble tea on your way."
"Knew it," he chuckled. "I won't be long."
"Drive safe. Bye."
"Bye babe."
Shaking his head, he hung up and put his phone down on the messy sheets. He stared off into space for a good minute before his eyes settled on the huge photo album on the bedside table, briefly recalling waking up that same morning to Jongin looking through it with a huge smile on his face.
He reached for it, not before sneezing loudly into the sleeve of his oversized furry robe, the sound of it echoing in the quiet room. It had been a while since he looked at any of their old photos. Around the first month into their engagement, Jongin had taken the liberty of arranging all of their photos in the behemoth of a photo album, all in chronological order. Well, to the best of his memory, anyway. It was admirable, watching him sit on the floor with hundreds of their photos scattered all around him for days on end. Eventually Sehun had given in and sat down next to him, helping him sort the whole mess out.
Hard to believe that was already a good four years ago.
He opened up the album, looking at the first picture on the first page, the one from their very first showcase back in high school. It was the selfie of them together with 'partners' written on the corner. The picture brought an involuntary smile onto his lips.
He turned the pages, seeing all the random pictures they took throughout senior year, from the several showcases they performed at together, their school trip, Luhan's send-off party... Then, one of their first date, where they were licking ice cream, wearing their matching key and lock necklaces that Jongin had bought them that day.
